  1. I have used the Eastwood exhaust manifold coating on many of my cars, it works great! Shake the can well prior to application, it has a lot of suspended solids in it. No need to spray, just wire brush the manifold to remove the loose stuff and brush on the coating. Brush marks don't show and it lasts for years. You can touch up spots with a brush and it will blend together with the old stuff. Like most manifold coatings, it smokes a bit on the first startup, but settles right down and gives good service after that.
  2. My 1971 Plymouth Barracuda convertible was doing that, it turned out to be the dimmer switch. Worth a look.
  3. Check with Bob Bergstadt, ebay seller modelt2001, or Model T Haven, ebay seller modelt96. If they don't have them in their current eBay listings, contact them and ask, they both have way more parts than they can list at one time on eBay. Beware of replies from brand new members with no previous posting histories that say "I have the part(s) you want, message me", they may be scammers.
  4. Check with Edelbrock, some of their carbs are patterned after Carter AFB and AVS carbs that use a rod like that.
  5. Mid 80s to early 90s Nissan pickups and 200SX cars had a dual spark ignition system with two plugs per cylinder, two coils and a double-sided rotor. I had one on my 1987 Nissan hardbody pickup. https://ratsun.net/topic/19879-distributor-wiring-8-plug-to-4-plug-swap-on-720/#comment-277280
  6. Don Booth is "the man" when it comes to Model T Fordors and Centerdoors!
  7. I remember when I first got my 1971 Plymouth GTX body back from the paint shop, it just looked like a big blob of Burnt Orange. Once I got the stripes and all the other parts on it, it looked much better.
  8. I ran DOT5 in my 1971 Plymouth GTX for all the years I owned the car, loved it. As I recall, it took a couple of attempts to fully bleed the system, but once it was bled it performed flawlessly.
  9. Beautiful! I have several packages coming from USPS that shows the packages being bounced around the country. There was a mercury spill at one of the large midwest sorting centers a month or so ago, so packages and mail had to be re-routed for a while.
  10. Check with Russ Furstnow, he restored the Jones Speedometer on my 1912 Flanders 20. http://antiquespeedometer.com/
  11. There is also a lot of good stuff on the MTFCA forums. Their search function isn't the greatest, so I use Google with the word MTFCA in the search list, like this: "What oil should I use MTFCA"
  12. If you haven't already, you might want to advertise them on the Spark Plug Collectors of America Facebook group, it is quite active.
  13. Yes, raising one or both rear wheels off the ground would be a good idea. Also, if the emergency brake handle is pulled fully back, squeeze it and move it forward until it is pointing straight up, this will release the parking brake. Chocking a front wheel is also a good idea to keep the car from rolling while you experiment with it. Here is a link to some good reference material: https://dauntlessgeezer.com/DG52.html
  14. If her car is an older brass antique car, how about some period clothing so that she can dress up to match the era of the car?
  15. If you have any EMF or Flanders carb cores, I would be interested.
  16. They look great! Those appear to have Kelsey felloes, which use a separate lug and a flat bottom lug nut, both available from the Model T vendors. Each Kelsey 88 rim has one hefty tab that fits over one of the lug bolts and keeps the rim from spinning relative to the felloe.
  17. I apologize if this has been covered elsewhere, but will the legacy forum remain on the HCCA site and be searchable, or will its contents be merged with this site so that it can be searched from here? There's a lot of good info on the legacy site, it would be a shame to lose it.

  19. Clincher tire bead breaker. It is missing its handle.
  20. Mike at Classtique Upholstery might be able to provide some tips. https://www.classtiqueupholstery.com/
  21. I just sent you a message regarding the Edison spark plugs, thanks.
  22. 1924 Model T Ford (originally a touring car, now a pickup). 1912 Flanders 20 Fore Door Roadster.
  23. Both .pdf files have been sent.
