  4. Seeing the chopped top reminds me of the expression " A mind is a terrible thing to waste."
  5. I would guess this might mount on the dashboard behind the ignition switch. The ignition switch contact arm would touch the center terminal in the bottom of the coil to make the coil circuit. "Just Sayin"
  6. Who ever buys this car should put the retro-fit plastic panel between the gas tank and rear end. This was a later safety recall to help with rear end crashes.
  7. Post on the Buick page and one should appear.
  8. I am a Willys owner and have followed the AACA page that list Willys for the last 3 years. There is not much traffic related to just Willy's. The Willys/Overland club has their own on line forum. I suggest you join it.
  9. Perhaps you might be able to put a little flat washer under one end of the spring.
  10. Does this take the standard 3/4 " tapered shaft? The opening looks bigger. thanks, Don
  11. This car has a wood framed body and the potential buyer should inspect for wood rot.
  12. The standard engine will make this a cheaper and easier car to put back on the road. I went through a Willys Sleeve Valve repair once and it was not a fun encounter. They all smoke by today's standards. ( Sleeve Valve)
  13. I would join the Willys club to get their magazine. You could read the want ads and post your parts wanted. They also have a AACA forum page and their own website.
  14. Ed, I have heard it said recently that the "American Dream" is dead. After hearing of your "Up Coming" adventure it seems "Alive and Well" to me.
  15. Seagrave's were made in Columbus Ohio. Back in the day as a teenager I used to see them driving on test drives with or without bodies.
  16. Purchasing the owners manual would be a good idea. It is full of information. You could find one on line or on the Dodge Page of this forum.
  17. The important thing is you are willing to learn. If you look at the side of your transmission you should see a male thread fitting that matches the end of the spedo cable. Usually its on the passenger side. It's never to late to learn .
  18. If you purchased this vehicle you would instantly be "Under Water"
  19. Now is the time to buy a air DA and air file for block sanding.
  20. The seller is using the term "Fast Back". Isn't this car a regular 4dr sedan. Plymouth did offer a "Fast Back" but I remember they were a few years later.
  21. Replacing your aged cloth covered wiring with a modern look alike will be the best money you ever spent. Far cheaper than repairing a fire damaged car or replacing the car and building it's in.
  22. Thanks for your suggestions, This type of work is in my "Wheel House"
