  1. Hello, I am getting ready to start a new project and looking for a engine. I want to purchase a early inline 6 with a separate crankcase that has 3 jugs attached to it. Each jug would hold 2 cylinders. The valve springs would probably be exposed . It would be nice to get the transmission with it. Any help or information you could give me would point me in the right direction. Thanks, Don Feeney in central Ohio 740-816-4284

  8. The hub caps were rolled onto the rim from the factory like a lid is put on a tin can. This meant that they could not be removed without destroying them . These are the back-in-day replacement hub caps. It is hard to find one nowadays let alone four. They are priced to sell at $50. ea. I will break up the set. thanks, Don in central Ohio 740-816-4284
  9. Hello, I did a similar project. Look at the 1922 Studebaker Dirt track racer. I cut 3" off the bottom of the cowl to lower it and sectioned the center 8" and welded the two half's of the cowl back together. This allowed the body to set inside the frame. I then trimmed the hood and side panels to fit the cowl. This was all done by me for free. I bought 3 sheets 4'x10' of new sheet metal ( two 22 ga, one 18 ga) for $175. I built the rear body wood frame ( Buck) for $300. in new wood I bent the new metal myself for the rear body and painted it egg shell white for $90. I plan to build the header exhaust over the winter in the heated workshop. My skill level on a scale of 10 is 7.It is amazing what can roll out of your garage with a vision and many small steps to achieve it . When you are finished it is a " One of a kind" Seize the moment and start your project.. At 73 I am looking for a new project along these lines. Don in central Ohio.

  14. I have a set of 6 wire wheels with lock rings priced to sell at $700. They have 40 spokes. 5 lugs on a 5 1/2 bolt circle These are hard to find separate let alone a set of six. Many people are looking for the lock rings. A leading wheel company is reproducing the lock ring at $265 ea. I think wire wheels enhance the car more than wood wheels Don in central Ohio 740-816-4284
  15. This was built from a car that was beyond restoration. Most of the parts I didn't use were sold to Studebaker owners trying to put their cars back together. The work is mine. It has been a fun, low dollar project. I plan to have it finished by Spring . At 73 I figure I might have one future project left. Anyone know of a ALF package for sale?
