  1. Clearly a sad time when some of these agents/auctioneers were profitting off of farmers down on their luck but the body style is very interesting as I don't recall seeing many Dodge sedan deliveries. Would you guys suggest this is a 1933 DP?
  2. Try and offer to buy just the letters from this guy for a price that may make it worth it for him to ship them to you? Never know, he may be willing to sell just the parts you need, doesn't hurt to ask. Disclaimer, no affiliation with seller and unsure if the post is still live (not familiar how Kijiji works). 1972 Fargo Pickup Hood | Auto Body Parts | Saskatoon | Kijiji As for the lifetime ban, "hall cops gone wild 20.22 version" is enlightening to say the least . It's obvious a ban is a joke because their are ways around it but anything to stroke those egos I suppose... I'd like to see Steve make it mandatory that they take meditation and yoga classes followed by how to deal with your emotions classes. Some of them need medicated, I'm convinced of it. Either medication or work in the real world for a year to bring em down a notch. Blanket party shouldn't be out of the question, I'll provide the quilts, we're gonna need quite a few. Good luck finding the letters, I hope you post an update if you find some. Cool idea
  3. What about a set that is interchangeable that would plug into the holes you have? May have to weld new studs that would work but you could include DeSoto and Plymouth to your repertoire.
  4. The pump was patented June 27th 1911 if that helps narrow it down EJECTING-CONTAINER. - NEW YORK & NEW JERSEY LUBRICANT COMPANY (freepatentsonline.com)
  5. A ton of money in the building and maintenence alone I'm sure, I do like the fact they drive and race them and have them that clean, I'd have great respect for them too. I'm surprised no one likes the COPO. It's weird for me because I don't even like Camaros or the color green but that car is amazing. Would love to drive it once to see how it drives.

  7. Sold mostly to the LGBT crowd. Something you need to share with us, Rich (Sorry, you knew someone immature like myself would hit that softball)

Generic after market for the era, used on many cars, could have been included in tire kits originally but I wouln't know which makes.

Seriously though, it looks like a Dreadnaught made by Automotive Specialties out of St Joseph MI (I really do need one for my truck if it's a No 951). Does it have anything like that on the side in raised letters? IF so, then there are probably many different makes and models that used it in their tool kit.
  10. I believe that's actually a 66. It was my first car so whenever I see one I go right to the tail lights to make sure. You can barely catch a glimpse of the side tail light. 67 the lights didn't wrap around. Great shot!
  11. Nice. Actually a good trivia question for enthusiasts. So that is how the Tonneau cover came about. I'll be darned
  12. What's with the 60s slide show in the first few posts? That Pierce Arrow barn looks like a really fun place to hold a show. Is this a yearly thing for them or is it something new?

My truck... can I please have it back?
  14. It is amuzing that some of the hall cops on this board (while their minions snitch or report posts they can't handle) delete other posts if it's not antique car related (new car posts have been deleted in the past) yet this is allowed. WTF Marty! Double standards are always so obvious. Oh well, unlike most on here I'll just use the remote (mouse) to turn the channel while the double standard is discussed ad hominem. As Chuck Barris used to say ....
  15. It is... I'm wanting to know more about the rear door design. Has anyone else seen this particular body design on a panel? Seems very unique to me (for the era) but I could be wrong.
  16. Can anyone shed light on this unique body? Had not seen the this type of rear door with window on a panel till this one. I'm assuming it's a golf bag door of sorts for the salesmen who were associated with LA Young Golf Co out of Detroit. I'd be very interested in any body builder literature showing this in a brochure or catalog as I may have family ties to this company. As I've traced my family geneology some of the Young family settled in WI then settled in NE after the Civil War, while some went to MI, IA and back to OH and other locations. I believe LA Young is from that branch that went to MI. Will need to follow up with research to verify but the body design is what has started this inquisitive quest.
  17. He may not respond unless you select "quote" at the bottom of his post or send him a PM. Both of these ways of communicating will send him a notification that someone on the forum is interested. Good luck, seems to be in salvagable condition. Dave
  18. Controlled storage temps/humidity are the only answer to the ideal storage situation as the expansion and contraction of wood and metal is simple physics and is completely un-avoidable no matter what part of the world one resides.
  19. Those BB's are great carbs but I think we all learn a lesson when dealing with them. You're surely not the first. Also loved the article. I was late getting my issue (mix up with the USPS) so I was finally able to read it this morning. Incredible work !
  20. Not sure what the part looks like. If you post a photo I'll check my inventory and the yard I frequent. What year and engine is it for?
  21. I've never been a fan of popular cars like the Corvette, Camaro or Mustangs but enjoy these kind of stories, thanks for sharing it.
