I haven't seen color saturation like that since Kodachrome--what equipment are you using? I'm sure you had to wait 10 minutes to get each of the shots. Many thanks for your outstanding coverage! Thanks, @Grimy. Just an iPhone, one of the recent ones.

Gunsmoke
The Delahaye cars remind me of Faberge Eggs, so exquisite sculpted and finished, but that French Blue Delahaye Roadster/Racer is awesome, don't know if they had much racing success, but it sure looks ready to rumble!
cxgvd
I'm sure it is an oversight and no one has mentioned that RM Restorations in Blenheim, Ontario, Canada have two, back to back, Best of Show winners at Pebble Beach now. They won last year with a Duesenberg and now with a Mercedes, I think RM has won BoS ten times since their first in 2001. Congratulations to them. edinmass
.So spending the last 12 days driving a 2023 Chevy Malibu, and finding it somewhat lacking in power; I thought we would install a V 10 Ferrari F1 engine in it. wouldn’t have thought we could’ve got it in in less than 20 minutes. Who would have thought of a mid engine V-10 Malibu. What do you think? Edited August 21, 2023 by edinmass (see edit history) 7
wayne sheldon
Now, THAT is funny! Rental cars get abused in so many ways. But using one to transport an engine on the back seat has got to be unusual? Although that engine looks more clean than I do, and probably weighs less than do half the people reading this. 2
pkhammer
Heaven forbid if you were to be in a collision of any sort, but if you were, you might wish your, um, passenger in the backseat was buckled in. 🙄

edinmass
Ok. Don’t tell anyone but sometimes I don’t do car stuff. Huntington library, Museum, and botanical garden. It’s one of the most civilized places in the world. And they don’t even have cars! It’s the only place in California where that hasn’t been ruined by the crazies. 9
edinmass
There are multiple sections here that are huge and hard to describe. The Australian gardens, the Chinese gardens, the Japanese gardens, central, and South American gardens. The list is endless. The place is absolutely huge then you have the art museum. You have the library. It’s truly one of the great treasures of the western hemisphere. 4

edinmass
I’m going through the very historic library at the Huntington. I found a book Grimy used back in the day. Rumor has it he bought it new. It was on the shelf next to the Gutenberg Bible in the original copy of Chaucers Canterbury tales. George’s book printed in the 1440’s. Back when he was just a kid. 1
edinmass
More from the library, and the art galleries …….. and thus ends our random section of culture. Everyone who makes it to Southern California should see this place and plan for an entire day at the minimum. It is truly wonderful. 5
edinmass
of course, we were just one day early before the corpse flower blooms. A once in a century event, it’s only occurred 11 times in the history of our country. They expect thousands of people to be here tomorrow to see it and smell it. But whenever I see Gainsborough's "Blue Boy" (Ed showed us a photo), I think of Ed..... PAS had the Huntington as one of the attractions at our 2014 Winter Meet--and also the Nixon Library which had a very honest account of his last days in office.
