SB3 Posted April 3, 2018 Share Posted April 3, 2018 Morning Fellow Rivi enthusiasts. Just wanted to pass this along. If any of you are in the market for new Riviera wheels and are finding it difficult to find a good set of original rallye wheels, i came across these last week from US MAG wheels. These are new for 2018, they are OE replica rallye wheels. They look really clean and can be made anywhere from 14 inches all they way up into the 20s. And unlike alot of other aftermarket Buick wheels, these can be made in 5x5 bolt pattern that we need to fit on the Riv's, not 5x4.75. Now a word of caution, these bad boys are pricey. I called into Discount Tire to get an estimate as you have to go through a US MAG preferred dealer. The guy on the phone let me know these will run $775............per wheel!! So out the door, it was going to be $3,400 just for the wheels including the lug nuts, not including rubber which will easily put you over $4,000. Discount did tell me that these are CNC'd and custom made to which ever specs you want them. I know the original color in the middle section is black, but he said you can also get it color matched to whatever color you want, just have to provide the paint code. So you can get it matched to the color of your car. These were out of my price range, but wanted to pass along to my fellow Riv owners if any of you were interested. pyntre Posted April 4, 2018 Share Posted April 4, 2018 Those new rims do fit a void in our quest for all things shiney on our cars ,,,, but I think they look too flat and 2 dimensional in comparison to the original ,,, if these are cnc’d they should be able to put some of the swale and curve into the lug nut area that I think is missing .... just my opinion . I recognize restoring the chrome finish and making the pitted surface go away is problematic. The cost of such a restoration of the Rally wheel too expensive? Im busy in the “Lab” trying to find a solution to refinish the Rally wheels and it is quite the challenge for a hobbyist. The design of the wheel shown fits a custom Riviera appearance. Just an opinion. Turbinator PS Thanks for posting! Great find. The TruSpoke Buick wire wheels are sharp and a significant expense. Their web address, www.circleracing.com, is no longer valid, their Instagram account hasn't had any new content since last January and the retail offerings are pretty slim now. That is too bad too. I had been in contact with the company owner a few times inquiring about their Buick Rallye wheels. He had a 1965 Electra with those wheels and pictures of a couple of Rivs wearing them on the IG site also.
