Looks like those ol' boys are lining up for a chance to run on a dragstrip (notice the missing wheel covers).  I don't know what that 1950 Plymouth is doing there (I had one and it did not have enough power to get out of its own way).   I ran a 55 Special to 78 mph in 1/4 (cannot remember ET...removed muffler from exhaust pipe and removed the air clear) and the family's 57 Ford wagon to 85 mph ( had 3.89 rear gears).  My father blew the engine on the wagon a few days later just cruising; I was lucky it did not blow at the dragstrip.  Fun times!

Do we give full credit if the cars are not powered by Buick engines?  The green convertible sets on a custom chassis as well.  Jay states that the green car is an example of the latest trend - derelict cars.  Old bodies on custom built chassis  complete with drive trains and suspension upgrades.
