  1. my answer is always the same- a wry smile and then I ignore their question.................... seems to work pretty well!
  2. well, the soft roof is of interest. I have a title for a dodge convertible pickup from about 1936 in my stash. I think you are correct with either 39 or 40.
  3. believe you asked this on the Ford Barn more knowledge of A's over there.....................
  4. I would price it at 350. mostly wood.
  5. WOW Dave, thanks for sharing that article. What a car...................... I am shocked at the generosity.
  6. Maybe I have a more cheerful attitude because I have owned so many GM cars..... oops! That company belongs to the government now, doesn't it. Bernie, didnt that debt ever get paid off? (we just printed some new bills)!
  7. Nice detective work Bob! just goes to show you the gov is often wrong in their assessments and that one should pursue what is right and not worry about their mistakes. remember, there are many ways to skin a cat. (bad analogy, but you get my point).
  8. that photo makes me nauseous!
  9. That windshield frame definitely started as a sedan. and many custom shops in the 30's did reconfigure sedan bodys into customs. dollars to donuts it is a town car built from a sedan when new.
  10. bought a grill for 5 bucks at Hershey and just sold it yesterday for 350. yes I had to put 30 minutes of labor into it..................
  11. Evidently Mr."Double M" has never been to Hershey! He would find the report of the demise of the old car hobby has been greatly exaggerated! news to me- the Hershey show shrinks year over year.......................!
  12. nice solid 32 chevy wire wheels with tires selling four for 300. location is NJ 08054 rdz69@aol.com
  13. I can send you one if you forward your email address. Yes it is rivets and no, there is none on the floor. NC dmv has incorrect information-fact.
  14. now see leftover 2016 f150s with 6 cyl and auto on ebay-new- for 18,500. plus tax and tags. MD dealer cant beat that wit a baseball bat! might even buy one..........................though I prefer 4 whl drive.
  15. More often then not- an appraisal is nothing more then a beat down on price. Happens all of the time in real estate. Buyer spends 300. for an "expert" opinion from a 2 bit loon and automatically thinks they are going to get 10k or more off of the price of the car or home. went through that 5 years ago myself and had to tell the "expert" where the numbers were. He then proceeded to ask me all about the vehicle, because he knew nothing. When the buyer called me to lowball me, I simply told him that he did nothing more then throw his 300. bucks in the trash. Needless to say, he wasnt expecting that response........... he'ld obviously done this more then once and wasnt too pleased at the result.
  16. Where I would be concerned Matt, is now this guy has every number that is on your car, and yes, please keep politics to yourself. really? wowzer!
  17. as a guy who has used quite a few different paints in my lifetime, I agree with Auburn...................... used to paint professionally- peoples homes.
  18. trades rarely work out...................... with that in mind-sell your car and go buy what you want.
  19. The Minerva was a car for the wealthy. Once bought a Minerva title and the owner had also owned a Duesenberg and lived on 5th Ave. in NYC. The site of the current Colgate Palmolive Office.
  20. You can still buy the colorado or frontier as mentioned, but they are about the same price of a full size, depending on options. There is a reason for the demise of the Ranger and Dakota. It's called no profit..... "Great mower, Sir. I have owned four of them. Best machine I ever owned." Bernie, could the young man have owned a landscaping business on the side?
  21. My brother and I have had this discussion many many times. We refer to the T100 of the 70's............... bare bones and big 4 cylinder engine. they cost around 4k new and run and run for 100's of thousands of miles. Fact is, I agree with Rusty. No profit for any auto maker to sell a truck for under 20k. The mid size Frontier stripped goes for around 18k, if stick is acceptable. A leftover 2016 Ford 150 with auto and 6 cylinder can be had right now for about 20k. As good as it gets.............
