  1. Jim, I have had very good success with finding obscure parts on ebay. you may also want to join the Chrysler club and ask there. Parts may be a little difficult to find. If you take your time, you should have good success.
  2. worth a little less then the roadster-still valuable.
  3. how about a 33 coupe title?????????????????? have one...................................
  4. Hey Dale, thanks for the history lesson-love steak and shake and even looked into franchising it here in NJ but wow are those franchises expensive! the 24/7 concept will become the future of fast food...............
  5. parked there for years and never a problem on tues and weds..............................
  6. ebay doesnt allow the selling of titles- but they are for sale on there daily.........................huh? Unless your titles are like those Matt mentioned-they dont generally hold great value. I have a collection of close to 4000 and the 32 ford roadster is about the most desired. they bring around a 1000. bucks Fords are the most in demand, followed by chevy and the rest-yawn.............. I do have 2 Duesenberg titles, and they are special to me and will never find another Im sure-but you still have to keep on trying!
  7. Bring a high dollar limit credit card- if you need it, go to town and borrow the cash
  8. AJ park at Wendys.................. tuesday afternoon there are about 50% set up.......................
  9. I would list your truck on ebay with a starting bid of 1500. and see where it goes from there. As stated, if you are in Maine, shipping could be expensive to many people, so dont expect a million dollars............ be realistic. and if the title is missing, it will kill the sale for most.
  10. POS??????????????? so I guess you DO want a restored car............................ not what you said in your original thread..................!
  11. JC Taylor will only insure for 26 on-as Joe says, they are doing the math and many people under 26 have accidents, so it is merely statistics we are dealing with. I say use reg insurance for now, and as mentioned, take the car off the road for the winter........... in another year you can reevaluate.
  12. Interesting thread. Restorer, perhaps we could drag race - I will bring my late father in law's 1977 Puch, I believe comparable in gobs of power.. We owned a Puch in 1975-it cost 420. new and of course, red. great little bike and wish I still had it. Raced an older fella on a Garelli at the time. was his idea. Of course I pulled away, because I was about 140 IBS at the time-soaking wet! He looked a little disappointed. Wasnt quite a drag race, but fun just the same.........................! and yes, bought because of the gas crisis. Unfortunately today, you need to register them, pretty much the same as a motorcycle in NJ. Back then no registration was needed. just jump on and go.
  13. 40 years ago, I owned a 1938 dodge business coupe-the trunk was almost longer then the body of the car (slight exaggeration) in any case, the trunk was built for business, as in salesmans samples. that to me is a "business coupe"......
  14. we all tend to regress as we get older- first it's wanting a 396 big block and before you know it, we're riding mopeds..............!
  15. My advice, send a copy of this thread in about a week to the company. Let them know they are being reviewed................ nothing like a reference, or lack thereof.
  16. I wouldn't be so paranoid if people weren't plotting against me all the time this is what I have gathered from this thread and yes Paul, the government got you again-me too!
  17. The Maxwell company was taken over by Walter Chrysler who renamed them Chrysler. So in a way they still make Maxwells under a different name. and his former home is now the Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point NY
  18. All of the 35/36 speedsters are blown. None of the 28-33. Like this Quote and they made the 12 cyl in 33 and 34?
  19. there is a thread on this site-devoted exclusively to Maxwells I have a 1907 model DR
  20. In 1907 there was a greater depression then that of 29................... so everyone was enjoying their wheelbarrow!
