  1. Oil was often sprayed or drizzled on driveways to keep dust down and kill weeds.
  2. This seems to be a HAMB question. The big thing now is to buy an off the shelf crate engine. As for old engine performance parts, there are some for the Ford Model "T".
  3. A garden hose, flash light, masking tape and a helper is all you need to find the leaks ,if the rubber is still good.
  4. Maybe Citroen powered when drive line problems paralyzed the car from lack of parts. How many in the U.S. were converted to rear wheel drive?
  5. Could be an early Dodge around 1920 from the look of the rear fenders and the upper brace on the spare tire carrier.
  6. Kind of a short bed for a self powered turd hearse maybe it was used to pick up chicks and take them back to the coupe for the night.
  7. Short wave is used in much of Europe and is a different frequency band. If your radio was made for the North American market the tuning may have to be adjusted, perhaps more than the antenna trimming.
  8. 1941 - 1949 International K or KB series
  9. The 2nd one may be a mid to late 1930s Plymouth
  10. Out here in the west, blue dots are OK but red and blue lights on the roof are not.
  11. Jeeps can be a blast in all parts of the country, every part is available, not expensive and the early ones don't take up a lot of room.
  12. No speedo or fuel gauge indicates a stationary unit or heavy equipment. The lever on the right is for a rod not a cable. The hour meter voltage could help.
  13. It reminds me of my days in South Dakota. Tractor shows, hit & miss demos, and swap meets that had everything.
  14. Fords and Cadd's had the same body supplier for 1903. (both were also Model A's )
  15. I had a 41 Dodge with 6X16s, without chains it did fairly well in snow as long as the snow was not over the bumpers.
  16. only 45 I messed and guessed wrong on a few, Russian and Indian cars could make my score in the signal digits.
  17. I used those in the 1970s, never had a problem. At 25 below out in the boonies they worked OK.
  18. Farm machinery ? The small gears could not be for a high torque application.
  19. Rare could also mean "not done, needs more time on the back burner"
  20. A re-built engine could also be almost any color. I had a 6 cylinder Ford engine that was Forest green with a metal tag wired on it with the regrind specs stamped on it.
  21. It could be a Federal . The truck is in the middle of a brake adjustment, floor board is out and padding on the running board.
  22. They look kind of small for headlights . 3) 10 - 32 mounting screws and 1/4 " light housing mounts ?
  23. You may have less brake fade with front disks when traveling down long steep grades or repeated high speed braking. Most conditions you will find not much improvement if any. Years ago aftermarket anti-lock systems were available.
  24. These were used on lawn equipment and small portable pumps. The smallest engines were about 1HP and not all of them had the kick start. I sold a gas tank for one of these for $25 at an auto swap meet.
