  1. The Large Economy people want to know what everyone else is having.
  2. Try Moore’s in I believe South Dakota. Mopar specialist yard. Phone call is best as at least my e-mails never got a reply
  3. The question is, Which one of the large men is nicknamed “The World”
  4. Even if you still have a few floppy discs around...
  5. Literally just ordered 1500 sheets of Kleenex from Amazon two days ago and it arrived today. Try and see if it works. Wife found somewhere that has TP and ordered a case. They promised delivery in a couple of weeks. Prices not terribly out of line either
  6. You have to wonder at the mindset that buys a car, drives it home, then never touches it again. I do know the era, costly gas, high insurance still but not as bad as ten years before.I had a1982 Mustang H. O. at that time and the insurance was not much more than a regular car. Did the Owner anticipate today’s market or just have too much inertia. I expect we will never know.
  7. Maybe it sank? if someone really bought it I sure would like to know the price and also take a look at that person jmust cause.
  8. I sure would love to have that car. Maybe the 3rd or 4th stimulus package...
  9. I remember seeing a TV show many years ago about the operation of junkyards and the disposal of cars after all the useable parts had been removed and they described how the bodies were burned to dispose of unwanted parts. Anyone doing that now would probably be immediately executed.
  10. I ordered some parts form Tom Langdon a couple of days ago and he told me to expect them this week.
  11. Might be one like that at the Harley museum in Milwaukee. I think I saw one there but last time I was in it was years ago.
  12. Am I the only one to wonder why the u joint did not fail before a driveshaft bent?
  13. I like how the driver got shorter and everyone else taller in the modern pic.
  14. I enjoy older building designs as well. One of the few things The Donald and I agree on in this area is his decision to keep government structures in the classic mode. Of course some things once considered drastic are now loved. Frank Lloyd Wright comes to mind. One of the effects of some small towns keeping their original designs is the lack of businesses since farming has become more corporate and less dependent on local suppliers.
  15. Being a Philistine I could live quite well with that interior.
  16. Airflows are one of the few cars before 1940 or so that I consistently like.
  17. Sounds like young you were the driver of car replacements in your family. 😀
  18. Two comments, Thought the beach scene looked familiar. Lake Geneva, Wi ( https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g60022-d283915-Reviews-Riviera_Beach-Lake_Geneva_Wisconsin.html ) Vid came just as I have been starting to go through again a couple of boxes of old photos from my Parents things(departed 27 and 22 years ago) and the scenes in the vid remind me of old days as well. Great to see it. Thanks.

  20. A few years ago my Brother-in-Law who is a Corporate VP now was working for Jewel foods and was driving a more garden variety car but ended up buying an Accura even though he did not need it when he got a promotion because at that point he knew his fellow managers would laugh at him. He knew this because one of the other store managers had an older Ford Taurus and was the butt of jokes about it. Needed to show that level of success Rusty spoke of.
  21. I really never gave a thought to obtaining a title unless there was a car attached to it although I did learn the benefits of promptness in title transfer. I held off for 12 years transferring the title of my 52 Plymouth for no real good reason. I finally decided to do so and put plates on it. Imagine my excitement when the several DMV employees here in Il. gathered around the one with the title in hand for a discussion. Luckily for me they were just trying to find the best way to get it done so that there would’ve be any problems. Nice to know that that was their first thought rather than just handing it back to me and saying “Good Luck Pal”
