  1. Driven 1,234 miles Manual transmission Exterior color: Brown Fuel type: Gasoline Merritt Crabtree This 1935 Chevy Canopy express is very complete (minus the wood). A lot of the wood has rotted out but almost all of the sheet metal is there. The motor is locked up but it rolls and steers great. I have never seen another one of these before in person. I do not have a title for it. This would make a very cool hot rod. I can help make shipping arrangements if needed. Message for more details. Open to all offers. $6,000 OBO You need to have a facebook account to contact Mr. Cabtree It is in Newcastle...
  2. Having driven this same year, and other model A pickups.... that straight backed seat... is VERY uncomfortable.....🙄
  3. That pad underneath is not to catch leaks... but is there for the buyer to lay on to inspect the under carriage......
  4. All of it is included in the asking price.... the photos just show you the different ways to could configure the car.....
  5. If you live in a very rural, country place.... out in the western states... where you get snow and mud on your country dirt roads... they are the ultimate, farm or ranch 4X4... and very well made... Great off road suspension.... this one listed is a good buy at a very reasonable price..... with a $1,000 worth of new tires and at least $1,000 worth of new brakes... NICE 4x4 If I had the money.... it would be my farm truck... Hauling Hay, Manure, firewood, rocks and building materials....
  6. The radiator grill is NOT Original... it is a grill work that can be purchased at any hardware store..... the original Chevrolet grill is vertical bars..... if the seller wants to get that kind of unrealistic money for a, 'completely restored to Original' truck... then everything on it needs to be original.... this seller is Dreaming big time...
  7. two other Chryslers in the background.. wonder of they are for sale..??
  8. You might like to find your Coupe using this web site, that searches the nation for you... www.findmyclassic.com You put in the make and the years and the price you are willing to pay... and it searches craigslists, Ebay, and other classifieds... good luck...
  9. No tail lights or Brake light... No turn signals and No rear Bumper.... and it is a Driver..??
  10. I'm Sure he was asking you about the 1920's pickup truck behind the parts car, in the first photo, covered with the tarp.... Maybe a 1928 Chevrolet canopy express truck..??? I had the same interest in the OLD Truck...???
  11. I have seen the other two cars in the photo for sale in the past 2 years... on craigslist..... at very low prices.. and suspected a scam on those.....
  12. Here is a real decent running car with new tires... drive as is and slowly improve it... $7,000 https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/1920-buick-touring-rare-top.1251143/ My 1920 Buick K45 touring car with a rare REX ALL SEASONS Top. These tops were made for the Buick cars by REX co. of Connersville, Indiana. This car was purchased new by a Doctor in East St. Louis, IL.. Drove it until 1933 and stored it until 1958. Has rebuilt motor, New Firestone tires, new battery, new radiator hoses, new water pump packing, new complete wiring harness but not installed, rebuilt carburetor, dropped oil pan for inspection and remounted with new gasket, did a compression check (excellent), readjusted rockers, readjusted steering, much more.. this is not a restored car. No title but I do have the Original 1920 Bill of sale from the Buick Dealership in East St. Louis.. Call if your serious, 618-889-6855.. Red Crown sign is not for sale
  13. Did you notice that in the interior photo... there is no shift lever coming through the hole in the floor... probably no transmission installed... No clutch or bell housing for the Chrysler engine...?? and then how to connect it all to the original Nash drive shaft...?? Lots of fabrication involved in an engine swap....
  14. Desert car..... not mine... 1924 Velie 6, ohv engine, Phaeton with missing body parts, drive train complete does not run.has a restored instrument panel and title. project or yard art.price $1,500.00Cars in ScottsdaleCalls preferredJim 602-363-3216 × × × ×

  17. Complete car... well worth the money... I would put it back together with my budget... and drive it as an original.... unmolested... It ia a good year for Reo nice body style... that is what the son is saying.. he likes the body style.. hot rod, is just the way younger folks think of these cars... they don't know how much joy you can get.. by stepping back in time and going for a drive... having the ride be the goal and Not the destination..... It is called going for a Joy ride... that was the fun, when Life was lived at a slower pace.. and we enjoyed the simple things in Life.... real nice looking car at a fair price...
  18. The very best way to find out if it is a scam or not is to ........contact the seller and find out where the vehicle is located, and say that you are in that same town... and when could you come over and look at it... with cash in hand.... Then watch the response... and see if he truly is the seller with car in his possession..?? ... or is there a bunch of excuses why , he cant show it to you in person.....
  19. This man from Big Pine Calif..... has been buying and selling 1920's & 1930's cars & trucks for many, many years... he is a good hearted, honest man. The 1932 model B pickup he posted for sale here, within the past year... very nice original pickup......... his phone # is 760-938-2250 He is interested in trading
  20. Having "upgraded" many 1930's pickups to 4X4 and more modern steering, brakes etc... You would get it all looking and running RIGHT.... if you keep your original frame that the body is currently on.... and build new motor & transmission mounts and change the axels out with new running gear mounted on the original frame.... a lot more work/fabrication.... but then it will appear that it was supposed to be built that way.... rather than an OBVIOUS chassis swap.....
  21. Very Nice looking car... 8 cylinder... will cruse comfortably at 55 mph.... just use it as a 'DRIVER'...... as is............................ very fair Price... a good buy if you are looking for a 1934 vintage Driver....... The so called 'birds nest' on the air cleaner.... is a fiber that the air, was filtered through, before it entered the oil bath filter below that... stock, factory equipment. If I had the money ... it would be on it's way to my home, right Now.... Nice car at a very fair price.....
