Being a Ex-Fire Chief, I have a soft spot for these open cab fire engines.... we had a 1947 American LaFrance open cab engine in our department... Thanks for posting the picture. -
Hi Matt, the scammer was listed as "howard17" a few days ago when I received the email, I did a members search and I no longer see him listed - good information you posted ! I had a issue a few years back when I advertised one of my vehicles for sale on ebay - first time doing this... I had a guy text me, would not speak to me, only would text me... he said that he was working on a oil drilling platform in the North Atlantic ! Long story short, total scam... unfortunately in today's world, you must be very cautious ! Steve

Very nice !!

Yup, I had the same issue the other night....placed a want ad for body side molding and I received a email from a "John Howard".. same story that Skyking mention..... but he must of had access to my profile to get my email address because I did not have my email listed in the posting.

STEVE POLLARD replied to buick5563's topic in Buick - Introduce Yourself
Hello..... Been a member of the forum for the past 5 years and a member of the AACA for years... I'm into GM vehicles, specifically Chevrolet, but I keep finding myself visiting the Buick forum! Great stories and information here.... I'm really gaining an appreciation for the Buick brand and I have interest in the Skylark model ( late 1960 to early 1970 model year ) Hopefully their might be one in the future for me ! Thanks -
A+++ I totally agree..... Great Magazine!

I received my quote back from Fastenal...$250 to ship one full nos quarter panel and another nos half panel for a '69 Impala from Wisconsin to New York...items must be crated to be insured, otherwise they can be on a pallet with no insurance. Steve
-
Thanks..... going to look into Fastenal later today........ Hello Bob ( 1937hd45 ) , I'm in Wappingers Falls, neighbor . Steve
-
These are nos panels from a friend that sell gm parts..... wife, kids and work keep me from going myself.... but I like the idea.

Thanks for the feedback !

Regarding Fastenal, will they ship right to your residence ?
-

1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass S Holiday Coupe
STEVE POLLARD replied to STEVE POLLARD's topic in Oldsmobile - General
It's currently listed on ebay( only 1970 Holiday Coupe )..... not sure if I'm allowed post it here... Steve -
I'm currently looking at a 1970 Olds Cutlass S for sale, but to be honest, I'm not too familiar with Oldsmobile products... I been involved in Chevrolet all these years. It's all original with 40K miles on it... the interior is immaculate , the exterior is yellow in color ( bamboo ? ) and is also very nice. The owner is asking $19K....Does this sound reasonable for a original car in this kind of condition ? Thanks !

I'm in the beginning stages of a Full Restoration on a numbers matching 1969 Chevrolet Impala SS 427 car. I have just about everything needed in NOS to complete this Impala back to factory condition, with the exception of the body side molding. The body side molding runs the entire length of the vehicle and on this specific Impala, the insert is green ( they came in different colors ). I do have molding for the front fenders and rear passenger side quarter, so I'm in need of the both doors and the driver's side quarter panel. I would like to keep it all nos, but since the molding is so hard to come by, I'm willing to go with nice used molding. Thanks !! Steve
