  1. In 2008 with 1931 Packard 840 - 2018 - note the LeVine Restorations and Grand Nashional t-shirts! Cole and Clay Fuhrman - my awesome sons
  2. I grew up in Upstate NY - there was a family in our town that had a Citroen DS - pretty uncommon for our region. Another family drove a Checker sedan as their everyday car. A gent I worked with had a Renault Delphene, (sp?). We were a GM family so an AMC was pretty exotic for us!
  3. Yes still there a dark green one - displayed with a Curtiss 'Jenny' of the same era, (when I saw it last.) They recently had some updates and the place continues to be great! The Bennett's have been supporters of the museum for years. You will have to make another visit sometime!
  4. As an aside - sharing the photo of Guy Bennett's 37, 40 and 42 Buicks on display at the Glenn Curtiss Museum in Hammondsport, NY.
  5. Sounds like no one was hurt - but still terrible news.
  6. 13 F 7:am as I was filling up a soft tire on my Montero - here in Virginia - (windy too.)
  7. Let's not go down this road again. It's an outstanding museum and AACA is an outstanding club - now we both have great buildings and both will continue to welcome antique car hobbyists from around the world. This Tucker collaboration just brings more auto history to the area - good for everyone. Hershey is the Sweetest Place on Earth - no sour feelings please. **OK - I've edited this reply to Trimacar - I don't know who can or cannot be on the Museum board - I was just hoping for peace.
  8. My mom collected old postcards - once in a while I share one here. Merry Christmas AACA Pals!
  9. Please tell me about the blue sedan with the black fenders - 3rd photo down I think?? Thanks!
  10. I would have to dig for a picture - but here goes... My family would visit New York City at Christmas - The General Motors building, (which later had the FAO Schwartz toy store in it,) would have an 'under the tree' display in the lobby using a new GM car or truck as a 'toy' along with a to scale Raggety Ann doll, teddy bear, toy soldier etc. Maybe someone else remembers these displays?
  11. Its growing on me! And the neighbors are nice!
  12. PHEW! Had to run out quickly to check mine just now - in sunny Virginia!
  13. Maybe work backwards through owners names or cities - start with who you got the truck from - then keep going back? Someone might respond with a "hey that looks like John Doe's Depot Hack, I was parked next to him at Hershey in 1970," etc etc. We had a 1931 Chevrolet, (common car,) eventually found 3 previous owners of it just by asking car people from the area we got the car from. You never know.
  14. HOT DOG! That's nice - not anywhere near my budget - but wow! Good luck with the sale.
  15. I was a little kid - but I've heard stories of tire chains and all - I believe there are neat photos around somewhere.
  16. Found this postcard - maybe we can get some CCCA stories on record about the wonderful times here in the good old days?
  17. I would like to thank Guy Bennett Jr, and actually the whole Bennett clan! He was one of the people that started me in the hobby over 30 years ago - brought me into AACA and BCA. They are like a 2nd family to me. Here we are at Allentown with their wonderful 1908 Model 10. (He's never met a Buick he didn't like!)
  18. No conversation about long time Buick dealerships is complete without the legendary Bennett's in Wayland, NY! "A Special Place Since 1922!"
  19. Perhaps we could hire a "Hershey Hawk?"
  20. 390 V-8, automatic - red with white interior - Vintage Air - Hidden CD player - Swing-a-way steering wheel. Runs and drives good - needs a new 'nest!' Asking $21,500 or MAKE AN OFFER - would like to see it go before winter. Call Jody at 804 690-3232 or Andy at 804 833 1576 Garaged in beautiful Ashland, Virginia (near Richmond)
  21. Great photo! 21 years ago yesterday, my bride arrived at the church in a 1955 Century!
  22. Current vehicles are all named and male - Roger, Monte, Moby and The Min. Past vehicles though include Ruby, Goldie(s) 1,2 & 3 and China Oddly I've also owned "The Goat Car," which was a 68 Impala and not a GTO.
