Trulyvintage
Look for The Dean Of Cool My Friend - Dean Yoder. He arrived this morning and will be camping out. He drove his Model T from Iowa City, Iowa to Luray. He will join the Luray Tour after the swap meet and then drive his Model T to The MTFCA Homecoming in Richmond, Indiana. Jim
pkhammer
That is pretty awesome right there! That's living life to the fullest I'd say! We arrived around 2:00pm to set up. Dennis and the gang at the VFW are some very accommodating people. Weather was great for setup but by 5:00 it looked like a shower was brewing. We took off and had dinner in New Market. Looking forward to tomorrow! See everyone there! Bring an umbrella and plenty of cash! 1

trimacar
I’ll be there tomorrow morning to visit, chubby white hair guy, say hi please! Behind me is the Bluegrass band, Chatham County Line, successful and led by one of my nephews, David Wilson, standing next to me. Trulyvintage
You folks attending ... Document what you see by taking videos - pictures with your phone - interview vendors and attendees. If you have a Facebook account, it is very easy to take a live video and upload it instantly. Show folks what they are missing. Motivate the Hobby to get off its' collective @ss and patronize swap meets - you make a difference by being there ... THANK YOU Vendors & Patrons ! Mark Wetherbee
I got there yesterday around 3:30 and the place was swinging already. I had help unpacking and sold several odds and ends right out of the boxes. Definitely some serious buying going on and today is the big day.

edinmass
Wish I could attend. Instead I’m stuck here at the Tiki bar in Palm Beach having a liquid lunch. 😉 1

Instead I’m stuck here at the Tiki bar in Palm Beach having a liquid lunch. 😉 Kind of hard to feel sorry for you Ed but we are having a ball at Luray! We got there about 6:30 this morning and got to meet and chat with lots of old friends and plenty of new ones. Sold some wheels to a man from New Zealand! Had a good rain come up around 11:00am that had everyone scrambling but things got better this afternoon. Lots of buyer and strong sales for such a small swap meet! Left this afternoon and passed several t's being hauled in for the tour. Will have photos tomorrow. 5

Frank DuVal
I was there, but without name tags I only know I saw 63 Red Brier (Greg), Mark Wetherbee and Terry Bond. Would have loved to talk with Larry, David, pk, etc etc. I was going to wear my HFRAACA name badge, but of course left it at home....😞 Bought more small stuff than I should, but nothing large! Need more non-Ford parts there to buy. Hey, quit throwing rotten tomatoes at me!🤣🤣🤣🤣 Edited May 11 by Frank DuVal (see edit history) 1
Gtjoey
James,Your welcome…. Guys just a suggestion before you leave today… Theres NO charge to park Theres NO charge to get in as a spectator . I made a 10 dollar donation in the can and bought a shirt. They even gave away a 10 year anniversary key chain! Just a thought….Just a thought. Great couple of days Next year , plus my wife , the caverns and car museum again up the block Long live Luray!! pkhammer
Packed up and left around noon today. Got to chat with Terry Bond, Mark Wetherbee and Trimacar from the forum and lots of other friends. Didn't sell the Roadster but did sell a ton (literally! Maybe more!) parts. Luray should be on any Model T lover's must-attend list. I'd say Luray swap meet consists of 75% T, 20% A and 5% other makes and models. I know the guys going on the tour will have a blast. It really makes me want a T! 4

trimacar
Nice pictutes Greg! Fun swap meet, I found two things I wanted, but good friends bought them right in front of me! Great to have good friends! As mentioned, attending Luray is fun and in my case makes me sorta wish an early T was in my garage. The Luray Cavern car museum is a real treasure, seriously, same dust on the cars that was there 40 or more years ago. Some great cars which haven’t moved in decades.
