The cars that did it first ...

This is a list of over 70 automotive firsts. They are specifically listing production firsts, not who invented it or when, but the year the new item was generally available to a buyer in a specific car.

Do you agree or disagree?

I would have thought first seatbelts and first smog control would have been notable.  Then for this crowd, firsts for: turn signals, dual tail lights, air conditioning, single piece windshield, rear view mirror, side view mirror, automatic transmission, tubeless tires, and so on.

The article must have been written by and for "Gen Z" nerds who are permanently attached to their mobile phones, hence the focus on electronic doo-dads.  Gen Z started after 1996.

Let’s be honest, it was probably “written” by someone on min wage in a foreign country browsing Wikipedia and Google images - those lists only exist to jam as many ads down as possible not any real interest, you’ll see similar things for lots of hobbies

These days it's equally likely that it was written by an AI program.

Hmmm... Wouldn't the first high-level stop lights be attributed to the Lincoln Continental in 1940???

In fact, for most of the non-electronic items in this list, one could argue well that the writers are completely ignorant of the facts.

That child! maybe someone from this club should enlighten him with some facts before he spreads things further.
