"Honey, it's time to sell that old Buick buried in the garage."

        But I don't want to.

"Honey, just post an ad online and I'll stop nagging you."

Offers and trades are considered. If you struck a deal with the seller for a trade. And showed up with, let’s say a 50 Chevrolet. Would the Buick be uncovered, pushed out to be loaded up. 50 Chevrolet rolled in. And all that stuff stacked back on the car? Or would a new car be a motivational thing. And organize the garage. I think the Buick roadster is a good looking car. And with aged/patina finishes being popular. Car might show well uncovered and cleaned up.

Same car on a better day? May be a Sport Roadster, they look nice restored. Cheap entry level car IMO. Bob

Interesting!  Whole ad from 6 years ago seems to be here (with the same suggested price):

The subject car is not a model 54 Sport Roadster. It is a Model 44 as advertised. Someone did have a very nice top done though. The light red turned to pink metalic is .....well...an issue. My 1925 Standard Touring had a "pink"cast untill I rubbed it out to see that it was painted a late 1960s GM Burgandy metalic.1272596238_1925BUICKLEFTSIDE.jpg.25dea719b7f6e26cd87e48854708ee91.jpg   2119938394_10689748_10154670062190344_5123168792870426143_n1.jpg.47a0970260eff5692b78eaf2425f2885.jpg

The car after being rubbed out looked much better but the paint continues to fail.

I think the light color on the roadster is about the color even after a polish.

Also the replaced square patern radiator core to what looks like a junk yard modern adaptation.

Photos of some of the 1923s that got away from me.

I offered $750 more than what it sold for but the owner defered to a local buyer.

1923-54 I started my "Looking For A Driver Buick" quest in 2010. Agreed on price. We made a long trip to Vermont to drive and inspect. Contracted a carrier. Would not run and the owner made excuses. We Passed.

We made a close offer but it was beyond my capabilities at the time.

 1923-49  7 passenger touring.

This is the one I should have bought. Well sorted, running driving car for not much more money that what they are asking for the roadster.

Hi Larry, do you happen to know which brand of optional wire wheels the sport versions of these cars used ? They don't look to be the Ash wheels the slightly later Buicks used.  I know several brands were available as an aftermarket addition. But curious as to what Buick would have fitted at the factory.

Scarry rough example wth 6 Buffallo wire wheels for sale on the forum several years ago.

Thanks for the information. I suspected Buffalo but was not sure.

There was one for sale near me with disk wheels several years ago.  Pretty rough , along the same lines as the WW roadster in your first photo. Although I must say, as rough as it appears If it that Roadster was close to me I might have been interested. Pretty rare and desirable Buick.

I don't know what happened to the disk wheel touring near me. A model 55 McLaughlin I believe. I presume it sold, and it seems to have dropped out of sight.

Maybe, but a serious car fan would also have it running,

and be driving it around the neighborhood and to an

occasional show.  Since this era of car was popular at

shows 50 to 60 years ago, maybe the seller is too old,

or ill, or weak to move decades' worth of debris.

I'll have a bit of compassion on the poor guy.  He probably

wishes that he could be out and enjoying it fully.
