Well it is kinda part car...

The engine is still in the car, not sure I would want all that weight behind me.  I guess it would not be too hard, throttle cable, shifter cable (automatic) and hydraulic brakes.  Engineering wise I would worry about the connection between the bike frame and the car.  You would think it would wheelie easy?  I would put a 5HP Briggs in the bike frame just to mess with people.

Where is it? Most side cars are on the right side in the USA. Then again maybe it was easier to add the bike frame to that side of the engine/transmission. Thumbs up for the engineering.  Bob

I'm thinking the car portion is on the left side because most FDW open differential cars drive the right front tire while the left front is just along for the ride.

So, putting the 'car' on the right would have produced massive torque steer to the left and the entire thing would have been almost unmanageable when you applied throttle.

But, if it is a 3-wheeler with the motorcycle part in the middle, as @TAKerry has mentioned, then the torque steer issue is greatly reduced but not entirely gone.

And that is definitely an Escort.

My late wife fell in love with one and absolutely had to have it, against my advice, but we didn't own it long since it had a CEL that would come on and go off for no reason at all.

The code even came back to a non-existent problem and had no real definition.

And to change all four spark plugs you need to remove the alternator since it is hiding the number one plug.
