Ben Bruce aka First Born
1950 At least monthly, if only for a few miles.Try more often Oil at 3000 mi or yearly. Have not changed gear oils or brake fluid since finishing car in 2010. Driven just over 7000 miles. As often as I can. Only reason I don't more is access logistics. Very seldom. Every one welcome Couple times a year at least. They do not phase me. Started frequently. Back it out of garage so I can get into garage Two or three times a year. WASH YOUR MOUTH OUT WITH SOAP!!! NEVER. Ben Edited October 18, 2015 by First Born (see edit history)

LAS VEGAS DAVE
Thanks for the replies so far, hopefully in a week or two we will get more. Not enough replies yet to make any conclusions other then so far the owners like their cars to much to think about selling them. Buicknutty
1- I have three, a '41 McLaughlin Buick, same as a 76S, a '56 76R, and my newest, a just purchased '69 Electra Limited, and drive one, or more 2- 3 times per week in the good weather 2- Engine oil twice a year, trans and others once every few years 3- It varies quite a bit, but usually I do a pleasure drive in one of them at least once a week. 4- Once or twice a week. 5- Once a week, more or less. 6- Hard to say, but several times a week I just have to move them around to get another out, but they aren't driven otherwise. 7- 3-4 times a year 8- Never have considered selling any of my cars. I do this for love, not money!

Dave_B
1 -- How often do you drive your Buick and what year and model is it? '28 #25 Sport Touring, I drive it a couple times a month except in the winter. I will take it out in the winter once in a while if the roads are dry. 2 -- How often do you change the oil and other fluids? I change the oil once a year. That's less than 3000 miles between oil changes. Other fluids on an irregular basis as I work on the car. 3 -- How often do you drive to places other than car shows or car events? About half the time. Sometimes we are just going to 7-11 to get a Moonpie and a lottery ticket. 3 -- How often is it driven with at least one passenger? Most of the time. 4 -- How often is it driven on a freeway or super hi ways? About a third of the time, gotta love that overdrive 5 -- How often is it started but not driven? In the winter once a month. 6 -- How often is it driven far enough to require staying in a motel before returning home? Twice in all the years I've had it. It was fun, something I should do more often. 7 -- How often do think of selling it? Sell it?? hell, I'm thinking of being buried in it.

sleeve-valve
1 -- How often do you drive your Buick and what year and model is it?~1939 Buick Special Sport Coupe, driven on average once every week or 2 when there is no road salt. 2 -- How often do you change the oil and other fluids?~Engine oil yearly. Trans, diff, coolant every 3 years. 3 -- How often do you drive to places other than car shows or car events?~Never to shows or events, usually local back roads or stops at stores to pick things up. 3 -- How often is it driven with at least one passenger?~Almost always. I was the passenger a couple times this summer with my teenage daughter driving. She did very well but still quite frightening for me. 4 -- How often is it driven on a freeway or super hi ways? ~Rarely, usually only for a higher speed test run after working on it. 5 -- How often is it started but not driven?~Every 2-3 weeks when there is road salt. 6 -- How often is it driven far enough to require staying in a motel before returning home?~Never. 7 -- How often do think of selling it?~Sometimes. It would only be to get a different old car, the right one hasn't surfaced, and I'm really not looking much.
