  1. On the other hand there was a rebadged Nissan Patrol Y60 sold by Ford Australia as a Ford Maverick from 1988 to 1994. I doubt these are for those though.
  2. This Super Eight was the car used by JFK's father Joe Kennedy when he was US Ambassador to the UK before WW2. Car is now in Australia in the state of Victoria.
  3. Thanks for the ANZAC Day update NZ. "Lest we forget"
  4. Sure is, it's a Holden Panel Van. Think it might be an HG Holden, but the more experienced will know for sure.
  5. Plenty of those around. This one is now in the Australian National Motor Museum in the Adelaide Hills where the tow truck operated. Even a photo of it "in action" back in the day.
  6. Lifted this photo from a Facebook page. 1915 FRP in the Seal Cove Auto Museum.
  7. Thanks for posting this Walt. Gives an interesting insight into the used car business before WW2.
  8. At least a couple of guys believed the OWT.
  9. Ever needed to transport a long load and wondered if your car could manage? This driver in Poland skipped the 'wondering' and just went straight to action by transporting what looks like a wooden telephone pole in his pint-sized Fiat. The Type-170 Fiat Cinquecento was built in Poland between 1991 and 1998, and replaced the Fiat 126 (itself a successor to the original and iconic Fiat 500) as Fiat's mass-appeal ultra-compact car. Unlike the original which featured a 500cc engine (hence the 'Cinquecento' name), the '90s-era fiat had either a 23kW 700cc two-cylinder or a 29kW 900cc four-cylinder petrol engine under its bonnet. The car has a 2200mm wheelbase and an overall length of 3230mm, which makes this driver's load choice all the more amazing – and questionable.
  10. Speaking of Bugattis, I was in New Zealand for their Packard Clubs "Top of the South" Rally in 2014. About a week before the Rally also attended the Napier Art Deco Festival in the north island. So having time to fill in toured other parts of the south island before the Rally started. One day, while driving to my next destination surprised to see a Bugatti going in the other direction. Followed shortly thereafter by more Bugattis going in the other direction! A short while later came upon a town where the main street was lined with Bugattis. Stopped, inspected the cars and shortly thereafter they began to depart. Except for one which I helped push start! The Bugattis. Pic's of some of the Bugattis are attached.

  12. David is the Roster Keeper for Packard Trucks.
  13. Agree it's NOT Packard. There was one recently on Aussie eBay thinking it might be, but no!
  14. The Packard Model Information section on packardinfo.com. Although it doesn't help with the Letter!😪 There are some knowledgeable people on PackardInfo, post your query there.
  15. From my research: Body number 738 is a 1934 11th Series Twelve Coupe(desirable car), subtract 10 from 37 making it the 27th 738 built Body number 1182 is a 1938 16th Series Six 4 Door Touring Sedan(common car), subtract 10 from 558 making it the 548th 1182 built
