  1. I Like the comment on your license plate DUH! I was driving my 66 Mustang on I-5 Freeway on a rainy dark night when I lost my headlights. I had to feel my way off to the side of the road and was glad there were no obstacles to crash into. I
  2. If you have the old one you may be able to repair it, I was able to take one apart and there wasn't much going on inside, so I made it work. At least take a look.
  3. You need a friend in the hobby to give your wife a couple hundred dollars to haul off all your remaining car parts after your demise. Get a contract drawn up and at least you will know on your deathbed that the stuff won't go into the dumpster.
  4. Send it to White Post Restorations and it will come back fixed. All the ideas offered seem doable.
  5. If a drip rail is the same as a rain gutter, you might check with some antique Ford suppliers. they sell materials to be used for that purpose.
  6. The paint on the dash is interesting. Wonder if there was some peel and stick woodgrain removed from there at one time? One thing I learned about the Franklin hood (radiator?) mascot, a rampant Lion, is that it is part of the Franklin crest in England

  10. 1932 is a plus, condition a minus. Projects are a hard sell nowadays with the younger set not so interested in automobiles. You might try around $4,000, or better yet $3750. and see just what happens. Where are you located?
  11. While some people dislike being pampered in Oregon gas stations by being able to stay in the car while someone else pumps the gas, most here like things just as they are. When other States went with pump your own, the prices never got any better, only the profits to the station.
  12. You are only putting enough solder to seal it. Wipe off the joint and don't leave a bead, it shouldn't be too heavy. Try it, what do you have to lose?
  13. You should be able to solder it successfully. Carefully flow the joint with solder using even heat and wipe off excess. Drill a small hole or unseal one there first in the flat part and seal it up after you are satisfied with your work, it gives a vent while heating.
  14. I am not familiar with the Hudson but have you looked for an adjustable rod from the pedal? What type of clutch is used in your car?
  15. If the web is very tough it probably is black widow. It is amasing how strong the web is and has been used industrially.
  16. That was back when they were actually SERVICE stations and sold tires and oil, even windshield wipers, installed them also.
