  1. The use of parking lights happned usually when the car was parked where it could cause trouble. Now their primary use is in parades to doll up the car. Many states do not allow travel with parking lamps only. The flasher has taken over the original use of parking lights.
  2. Go ahead and price it, that is the norm around here
  3. A photo from the other thread.
  4. Do those have a name on them? What make/year of car are they for?
  5. Get your stop lights working. People behind you want to know what you are doing.
  6. This would be a very good idea. Sort of a library for the hobby, not just ours but many others. Add a small finders and licensing fee, and this could make some easy money too.
  7. I doubt your actions excuse fraud. Small claims is inexpensive to utilize and he still will have to show up and defend his actions. No show on his part is a win for you. If everyone defended themselves, crooks wouldn't be so brazen! Do you think the fellows in the photo I used previously would let this go?
  8. If you are getting good spark opening the points manually don't worry about the condenser. check the distribution route for where it stops.
  9. Out him in small claims court. You have the evidence and will win!
  10. Opening rear quarter window is not on a Standard also the Master has a longer body.
  11. Maybe Ford or aftermarket, but certainly might work on different cars. Ford did use many different suppliers in the rush to build millions of cars.
  12. On the west coast here in Oregon we have Bi-Mart where I buy my 6 volt batteries. Never a failure and they seem to last 6-8 years.
  13. That is just the type of leak stop leak products are made for. I use powered metallic such as Aluma-Seal. If you want to spend money take it to a radiator shop.
  14. Close, but a different shape, I think it is for a different make, maybe Chevrolet
  15. One note to model T owners. Part F has a raised area as noted but many install that part wrong as the raised area (V) should face down when installed. It is made to direct splashed oil to the middle of the bands. I am now more puzzled by part labled I at the bottom. I have one also that came with a bastard model T I purchased as a basket case.
  16. I guess I should have counted. Someone will nail it.
  17. All of that looks to be Model T Ford parts. When you find someone to ID it I'll benefit also because I have one too.
  18. Here is the first place to try. https://www.olsonsgaskets.com
  19. Yes you always give up power to gain speed through gearing. He needs to give his plans serious thought, and possibly opt for an overdrive.
  20. I'm not sure that is correct as gearing is what is hindering top speed on the big trucks. Yes a poor running engine can be a factor, but only a factor
