My guess is that the seat covers are for a front bench seat in a lower contented car. Maybe something like a 1992 Buick Century or a similar vehicle. It does not look like it came from an upper series car. Just my guess.

I know one of those also and all they want to do is gather trophies, not sharing information. Sharing information is why I like this group.

My earlier comment was about the means portion of disposable income for the car hobby. If you don't have it, you can not spend it, except the federal government.

I would say probably yes. The biggest change in disposable income is the huge increase in tax burden placed on taxpayers. One data point would be social security taxes. 1963-1965 remem3.625% on first $4,800, 2022 Employee 7.65% on Social Security tax on first $147,000. And that is just Social security. In the 60's remember when gas was about 25cents/gallon. Now the taxes on a gallon of fuel can easily top 50cents/gallon. I know wages are up, but tax burdens are up more.

OK, I will see if I can top that, but probably not. I had a '63 Buick Special Station wagon similar to this one except beige when my now wife and I started dating about 49 years ago. Car long gone, but I still am with the bride. And then I graduated up to a '68 Opel station wagon except mine was dark blue. -

I would check NAPA for a possible replacement. They usually do quite well for obscure parts. What is the number under MODEL on the right? Also, Luber-Finer is still in business. Here is their website. Call them. https://luberfiner.com

Maybe with a rubber case on the old batteries, maybe. I am not sure it is true or an old wives tale. New batteries with the plastic cases, no they will not discharge. If left long enough, the internal resistance the battery will eventually discharge. Probably talking a year or more just sitting there. IMO. -

Looking at the elbow it does not look like it is flat. The photo appears that there the ends are higher than the center. If it was mine, I would consider taking the top elbow and either put it in a mill and make sure it is flat or if you have a large belt sander put it on that to be sure it is flat. Then look at the engine side with a straight edge and feeler gauges to ensure it is flat. You should not need to take off much material to make sure it is flat. After you confirm both surfaces are flat, then you should be able to use some standard gasket material. This is what I use for those applications. Are you near A2?

I have this hood and I do not know what it might fit. The hood is about 55 inches from the top of the V at the bottom to the top of the hood. It is also about 55 inches from side to side at the bottom. If anyone needs this hood, it is for sale. Thanks for everyone's help.
