  1. Roger, The fuel pressure is 3-4 PSI at the fuel line going to the carb. This is a function of the fuel pump. You can check the pressure at the carb by "Teeing" in a fuel pressure gauge to the line that feeds the carb. The float does not set fuel pressure.
  2. There is an old saying of "be careful of what you ask for" because you might get it and the issues associated. How many times have we read that "ignorance of the law is no excuse" Truly Vintage would be a great help for this thread.
  3. I think the rules change for towing in many states if the sticker/ plate on the trailer states that the trailer is rated over 10,000 pounds GVW. I know my trailer is rated for 9,990#.
  4. Yes. PM me and we can see if it is the same family branch.
  5. Did you call ACCEL at 1-216-658-6413 ?
  6. Nomal relay has two pins that operate / energizes the coil in the relay when battery voltage is applied. Pin 3 would be the common pin for the circuit. The next two pins, one might be for a direct current path when the relay is not energized and the other pin for the current path when the relay is energized. Just a thought.
  7. I have been to the North Rim Country Store gas station.
  8. Do you have any Buick lap robes from the teens? If so, could you post some pictures?
  9. You can check the runout with a dial indicator by yourself. Here is a video that might be of help. https://video.search.yahoo.com/video/play;_ylt=A0LEVva.Z49U1yMAEX4PxQt.;_ylu=X3oDMTBsa3ZzMnBvBHNlYwNzYwRjb2xvA2JmMQR2dGlkAw--?p=checking+wheel+run+out+gauge&tnr=21&vid=E62CF9341725942B3D74E62CF9341725942B3D74&l=238&turl=http%3A%2F%2Fts3.mm.bing.net%2Fth%3Fid%3DUN.608022229669382346%26pid%3D15.1&rurl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DoyU6ArIeHfo&sigr=11biahnvo&tt=b&tit=64250+-+Universal+Radial+Run-Out+Gauge+-+Specialty+...&sigt=11m3471ob&back=https%3A%2F%2Fsearch.yahoo.com%2Fyhs%2Fsearch%3Fp%3Dchecking%2Bwheel%2Brun%2Bout%2Bgauge%26ei%3DUTF-8%26hsimp%3Dyhs-001%26hspart%3Dmozilla&sigb=138k20h0g&hspart=mozilla&hsimp=yhs-001
  10. Our younger daughter has a Christmas day birthday. We know the challenges of keeping the two events special.
  11. If you would like really low ratios, look at the trucks. Everything from old ones to new ones that have trailer towing packages.
  12. I know that my local Chevrolet dealer has one of those machines. It will tell the stiffness of the tire as it is rolling.
  13. LOL How true though. Same goes for oil.
  14. What do you mean as the run out is not severe? If the run out is more than about .040", you can get a good vibration.
  15. Regular Corvair, but not a wagon. Different light set up for the license plate.
  16. Mark, Thanks for all that you have done over the years and and do.
  17. No, speedo. Remember that what has been seen can not be un seen!!
  18. The minimum voltage on a 12 volt system that the battery should have when cranking is 9.6 volts. Anything less and the battery is bad or very discharged. And even then I would consider a new battery. I would say that you would usually have about 10.5-11.5 volts when cranking the engine.
  19. I have see the car in person and it is has unbelieveable sheet metal.
  20. I would vote that the heat from the exhaust was the problem. There was probably a shield that should have been there that might have been removed.
