  1. I would find a 56 so you could get those two "upgrades" and make the tabs work somehow.
  2. Yep. Not all completely rebuilt, but valve and spark plug covers, with intake manifolds and various water pumps add up over the years.
  3. I have used Inline Tube happily for years. I have only used Classic once, but I recall the item from them to have been good quality. So, you may want to at least check Inline out. I can't answer your specific tubing question, though.
  4. Good job Paul, I am not ragging any supplier with this statement, but I have had wild variations between spray cans and EXTREME differences between spray and quart, and I have bought at least enough for ten engines. Just sayin'.
  5. That paint does look good. It will never match anything else, but that batch looks good.
  6. I think that Jim was saying to ask about getting a carpet made for a 4 dr. Hardtop. Now, to jump in (because I'm not familiar enough with 58's), I bought a carpet for a 4 dr sedan for my 55 wagon and it fit perfectly. Ok, not perfectly. You DO have to trim around the back seat braces. The wagons in 55 were just scabbed roofs on sedan bodies.
  7. Hey ceejay. You are doing a fine job on your car, but for your American friends you have never met, please put on some welding goggles or at least eye protection of some sort.
  8. Silver cad. I think gold cad was only used on the brake backing plates and brake booster.
  9. Correct. Those are Roadster Wheels wire wheels, often sold by Coker.
  10. In my understanding, here it is as follows: Fan bolts- natural unpainted Pulleys- natural unpainted Oil dipstick- green Trans dipstick- black Oil filler cap- green (don't know about sticker on 53. I'd say yes) Power steering bracket green (crossover bolts go through it, which means it was assembled on engine, then painted)
  11. Man, this is a moldy oldie. Where did Dave@Moon go?
  12. Oh yeah, AND I am running them on two of my cars and have installed them on several customer cars. The difference in handling through windy roads and curved on-ramps is very noticeable. You can use the old sway bar as a perch for the squirrels.
  13. I probably posted this higher up in the thread, but Brad is a good dude, and this is an easy and cheap upgrade that BCA judges won't notice.
  14. I'd PM buickman or start a new thread, Jim.
  15. I have been a team captain and Old Tank has judged. Your car isn't modified. Ask away.
