  1. Spent the day yesterday cleaning my shop/garage. As I stated in another blog, it’s all about Genetics......I got the cleaning gene and my sister got the shopping gene.....she is happy and broke, I am happy and clean.....
  2. I called and talked with the seller. Apparently the wire is for an electric fuel pump which is on the RH inner fender. wrong place for that......
  3. Before I had my condo garage I had my Scamp travel trailer, ‘48 Packard, a T and an A in the 800 sq. ft. Yes, I can fit 4 things but choose not to at this time. The condo garage stores my new Airstream, Bennington pontoon and my car hauler. Yes, maybe room for one more in the home garage. I am searching for a ‘49-‘52 Mopar.....how do you like the Wayfarer?
  4. There are many interesting garages here.....mine is a rather mundane three car (800 sq. ft.) stick building. Note there are only two cars......
  5. I am experiencing somewhat similar gratification with my 1913 Ford as I spent the whole winter working on it. You have done a marvelous job with this Plymouth! Your relentless pursuit in finding and fixing things is to be admired. As I said in an earlier thread I am searching for a suitable Mopar candidate (‘49-‘53) to turn into a semi daily driver. Your blog has sure inspired me. Keep it up along with the great pictures and videos you post. Thank You!
  6. BJM, Right now I can purchase a ‘52 HH, low miles pristine original for 19K. I am considering but will allow some time to pass as I want to be sure it is the car I want to live with long term. Not for sale to the public.
  7. When I was growing up our next door neighbor had a 1956 Buick Century Convert, Gray with a black/white interior. It was very sharp looking. In 1960 they bought a new ‘60 Buick Invicta 4dr. (became my first car in 1969) and the Century was then parked outside as we all had one car garages. Deterioration ensued and it was eventually traded in on a ‘65 Electra. Man, I loved that Century, it was a beautiful car!
  8. Moved the car show outdoors.....now we are properly situated six feet or more apart: Meanwhile I got things arranged in the “kennel” so proper physical distancing can be practiced:
  9. Neat picture.....looking forward to a driving report!
  10. Wayne, if you (or I) had the $$$ we would both need a warehouse for all the cars we love😀😀😀!
  11. Went for a drive in the country, stopped by one of my favorite places........local historical society. Oops........ran out of gas on the way home...duh.....rescue!
  12. OK, when I get the plate # from Hertzy I will check on both of them.
  13. My friends say I spend more time cleaning than working in my shop. Genetics......I got the cleaning gene and my sister got the shopping gene.....she is happy and broke, I am happy and clean.....
  14. Well done video and explanation of the crankcase area! Although I have “been there/done that” it is a good refresher for me to hear this from another perspective. I enjoyed it very much! Although opinions vary widely I too would go 10w30 oil for the driving season.
  15. Oops, the boys are NOT six feet apart!!
  16. I don’t need a picture, just the number.....send me a pm and let me know where in MN you are.
  17. I used BaT to sell a car and it worked out very well. They know the market well (in my case) and helped me set a realistic reserve which turned out to be within 5% of the final sale price. Their clock reset at the end resulted in a few extra $$ for me.
  18. I have a friend who has the State of MN. License plates issued record book that starts in 1909 goes to 1915-16. If you send me a picture of the plate I can obtain the original data when the plate was issued such as name of person, make of car and city of residence.
  19. Love reading this saga...my first post. Congratulations on taking on this very special project. You are a brave man in addition to your many talents! Were the early cars (say pre-1909) lubrication systems known as “total loss lubrication”?
  20. One can purchase a basically correctly restored ‘57 Bel Air Convert for 60k here in our market....check FB Marketplace. I have seen prices softening on these cars. I agree with Ed that the ‘57 is a pretty good barometer of the condition of the under 100K market. I have seen some decline in the top ‘57 models.
  21. My cars I have to make like a monkey to get at the valves for adjustment. Yours look like a direct shot......
  22. Yes 1946 Dodge D-24 coupe 1979-88. Loved it! Also had a 1951 Ply Concord coupe I drove in college 1974. Good car too!
  23. Video was great! Love that ‘53 also.......next week I am going to look at a ‘49 Windsor f/s near me.
