What are you working on right now?

It’s a rainy day here in Minnesota so a good time to service the bearings on my little car hauler..... -

I did the same for my Model T and noticed a big difference in ride and steering. Good to see you are doing it the right way. -
I had an AMC Alliance convert once and I learned Renault is the French word for CRAP........

I looked at a Model T Ford for sale in Costa Rica two years ago and “La Cucaracha,” was in the title of the advertisement! The owner of the T also had this sign in his shop......

Cruising in 1972 - Where were you?
Jeff Perkins / Mn replied to supercargirl's topic in General Discussion
Did you cruise around Lake Phalen too? When not cruisin’ the loop downtown we hit Phalen and hung out at Mr. Anthony’s Peanut Room. Consumed much barley pop there and played foosball. Ahhh, summer of ‘72! -

I was driving “The Bump” my 1952 Plymouth Concord Business Coupe that summer and was wondering if I should get a better car to drive to the University of MN that fall. -
Again, a nicely done video! Time to put some miles on the Ol’ Plymouth. Give us an update occasionally as I need a Mopar fix once in a while. Take good care of your buddy with the welder and fabrication skills. Everyone needs someone like that during any restoration, recommissioning or whatever the process is called. I am fortunate to have a son who is a machinist and makes knobs, levers and other doo-dads as I need them. He says this one is for my Model T..........in case I “fergit”!

I live in the St. Croix River Valley, the border area between Wisconsin and Minnesota. Often on Sundays there is lots of tourist traffic on our area streets as is the case today. Since these “rubberneckers” like to drive by slow and look up the driveways I thought I would give them something to look at beside my dormant grass. Sooooo, I parked my Model A out in the driveway to give the gawkers something good to look at. Maybe some of you would do the same as there will be many walkers out and about. It could give us all something to show and talk about if anyone stops and it is not hard to keep social distance outside. Looking up my driveway......park your car outside and post a picture to show us what we would see peeking up your driveway!

What's your "white whale"?
Jeff Perkins / Mn replied to Billy Kingsley's topic in General Discussion
Back in 2004 my son and I visited the Corvette museum as he had just purchased a new one.....he did not take museum delivery. We wanted to tour the factory but it was closed as they were changing over to C-5 production. At any rate here is the one and only 1983 Corvette...... -
What is your "guilty pleasure" car?

Steve....I used to read Lowrider magazine every month and never told anyone and NEVER showed them to any of my car friends! -

This one is for sale near me.....always wanted one since they were new. The posted price on this one is about 5 times what it is worth although it is rust free. -

I believe the only actual 1983 Corvette in in the Corvette Museum at Bowling Green KY. -
Keith, Metric on the left side and SAE on the right. Your thoughts are on par with mine......

I am lucky enough to have a son who is a skilled machinist and has worked at the same shop for 20 years. He will make anything within reason for me but, with me owning Fords, there is not much he has to make. -
I feel it is certainly fair game to comment on postings like this. 6T-FinSeeker has been doing this and I personally enjoy the selections he posts. IMHO this is a nice car but there is another one posted here which is much more attractive at a lower price, in fact thousands less. The market is very soft on post WWII - 1954 cars......many nice ones for sale.

Spent the day yesterday cleaning my shop/garage. As I stated in another blog, it’s all about Genetics......I got the cleaning gene and my sister got the shopping gene.....she is happy and broke, I am happy and clean.....

1948 Stude Land Cruiser w/ 7,100 Miles
Jeff Perkins / Mn replied to Hudsy Wudsy's topic in Automobiles and Parts - Buy/Sell
I called and talked with the seller. Apparently the wire is for an electric fuel pump which is on the RH inner fender. wrong place for that...... -
Before I had my condo garage I had my Scamp travel trailer, ‘48 Packard, a T and an A in the 800 sq. ft. Yes, I can fit 4 things but choose not to at this time. The condo garage stores my new Airstream, Bennington pontoon and my car hauler. Yes, maybe room for one more in the home garage. I am searching for a ‘49-‘52 Mopar.....how do you like the Wayfarer?
-
There are many interesting garages here.....mine is a rather mundane three car (800 sq. ft.) stick building. Note there are only two cars......

I am experiencing somewhat similar gratification with my 1913 Ford as I spent the whole winter working on it. You have done a marvelous job with this Plymouth! Your relentless pursuit in finding and fixing things is to be admired. As I said in an earlier thread I am searching for a suitable Mopar candidate (‘49-‘53) to turn into a semi daily driver. Your blog has sure inspired me. Keep it up along with the great pictures and videos you post. Thank You!
