  1. just watched a program called mysteries of the abandoned they showed a short bit on it.
  2. after getting my feet out of my mouth I read what I was arguing and see what I meant and what I wrote did not make since.I apologize to SAltbrush and the rest who were right.Ben wrote what I intended but it came out a$$ backward.
  3. I read it and it states they drive on the left.but you seem to know better.
  4. better let them know as they are on wrong side of road.do a search
  5. looks like right hand drive meaning may not be aussie
  6. to add to the confusion I have 4 pair 1 nos in boxes 3 used 1 pair I am sure were from a Canadian grille assy I have.the illustration book 49-59 list #s 8224rh 8225 lh page 767 then in the illustration portion page 264 they list them as 13206 rh and 13207 lh go figure.the nos boxes the pair I have on the car have fda-13207-a lh and the other faf-13206-b rh they both went on with no problem they were probably US as I bought most parts years ago south of the border Hersey,Carlisle NY,Ohio.I have a feeling the prefixes indicate different sources just a guess.as to your dirty ones if the place they were stored got damp at times it would I think explain the dirty look as the dust would take on a muddy look.the one thing I do not understand is the wires should have the rubber shielding on both the one looks like it was removed and not neatly.as to the one with the posts without seeing one I am going to suggest it may be a Meteor part as the grille as you know was different PS I am still looking for the meteor hubcap or at least a good picture cheers Barry PS I meant the v bar not the side pieces
  7. it sounds like a political statement rather than a queston
  8. I have to agree with the chrysler comments looking at the little holes in rim they were used on that period of walters cars. the hub had a small stub that would help hold the wheel while trying to start the studs not exactly a bright idea trying to get wheel on at side of road besides having left and right studs to add to aggravation of changing
  9. while generally reliable they were not a thing of beauty I think they were designed after a bouts of acid dropping.
  10. be gentle as they break if forced apart not truly brass more of mish mash of metals.I am sure they are from the far east.the tip about Rhode Island is good advice.

    Chevy vise

the way the jaws are lined up(not) I would think that it came from the orient.low quality junk I am sure no company would put their logo on it probably a chevrolet fan
  12. to quote archie bunkers theme song those were the days
  13. I think it may have bushings rather than bearings most I have had apart did.check around as I feel they will be sold by old ford parts dealers also check with T-bird parts dealers as 55 would have been 6 volt
  14. jeff you may want go back and correct face vega😉as stated earlier too many pics are not enough
  15. not positive but I think there should have been a ball on the end that the pedal snaps onto then pedal bolted to floor
  16. I wonder what make of car the #16 is in the photo of the 4 stock cars I recognize the vega _astre and the monza looking ones.
  17. I would also look at a site named 52 -59 ford social groupit is found on the HAMB under social groups it is a mix of original and resto mods lots of good help and info.and yes the y blocks up to 62 will bolt up to your transmission.if you decide to upgrade be sure to get complete motor meaning carb distributor etc as 54 bring one year only the carb water pump and timing chain cover and distributor are unique to that enrgine.you can keep your 6 volt parts as well and use them.this is mine with grand kids a couple of years ago
  18. did you bench bleed the master? if not you will turn blue in the face trying to bleed a wheel cylinders
  19. the price is related to the height of vehicle.
  20. I think it is close but if you notice the insert is rounded on Ford but square on boat.their upholsterers interpretation of Ford to avoid possible legal wrangling?love the entry hatch
  21. I agree with Joe I have never had a problem buying those in the sizes he showed at any local auto supply.
  22. try running a wire from the ground you made to other light same way.strange as it may be that front bulb may have given up the ghost.nothing is beyond belief when dealing with our cars.
