  1. Call my friend Dale at the number in the link. He's parting out cars all the time and has tons of stuff that isn't advertised or on ebay. https://www.trclassicsllc.com and his ebay store https://www.ebay.com/str/trclassicsllc
  2. ^ When I got my '32 Chevy the engine turned over a little on the slow side but better than any Model T I ever had. EVERYTHING on a Model is anemic........ Anyway I didn't like the crimp on the starter end of the hot cable so I took it off and cleaned it as best I could and soldered the connector. After that the starter spins the engine as if the spark plugs were out....... 👍
  3. My question is WHO told you it's irreparable and there is more than one way to skin a cat. I dealt with enough unobtainium to know.
  4. Sorry trini.......it's the other way around....... .......but you know that. My fingers get dyslexic too........
  5. That would be my kind of show TerryB........ FUN........the thing a lot of people don't know how to have.......
  6. I LOVED the suicide doors on the '20 Coupe I had. So much easier getting and and out vs regular doors. I wish my '27 Tudor had suicide doors.
  7. You'll likely have better luck there >>> https://www.chevytalk.org/fusionbb/showforum.php?fid/36/keyword/1961-1964_Fullsize_Chevys/
  8. Furthermore you can't even buy a DECENT 8 volt battery. They're all crap batteries.
  9. ^ There isn't ANY engine braking and it's murder on the brakes....... 👎 On my '32 the free wheeling lever was "locked out" with coat hanger wire and I have no intention of changing it.
  10. Low tension ignition is for igniter ignition, not jump spark ignition which is high tension.
  11. I don't understand what is it you are asking.......
  12. Arrived broken or because I smashed one because I'm so sick of aftermarket crap that doesn't fit or work?........ 🤬
  13. A fella at SmokStak posted this photo. The main identifying thing I see is a rather distinctive method of the folding top.
  14. In the first pic we picked up a couple friends and headed to Stevens Point for ice cream on a hot Sunday afternoon in 2018. The second photo (taken 5-6 years ago) is delivery day of the 1919 Model T Touring I had.
  15. I don't know what particular car but it would HAVE to have a straight 6 engine. Those things keep going and going and going and.......... 😛
  16. ^ I carry tool boxes in my 3 cars too and a spare fuel pump in one as well. Just some common tools that should take care of anything reasonably repairable outside of a shop. I've had need only once but without them I'd have been screwed....... 🤬
  17. Measure what room you have and go to this chart >>> https://raybuck.com/automotive-battery-dimensions/
  18. You might want to read of my experiences with AirTex.......
  19. Just an FYI Ron but aluminum is a VASTLY superior conductor than steel.
  20. The clicking sound reminds me of a rebuilt magneto I used on a late teens Townsend tractor. I never did find out what caused the clicking. I've listened to the video 6 times and the clicking seems to be in the area of the magneto.
  21. The problem is finding THE car one really wants which isn't always (ever?) easy so one has to do whatever it takes to make THE car........well........THE car. Just getting a car in reasonable enough condition to be a reliable driver can get out of hand but that's the price of having THE car.
  22. Timken bought National Seal Company. The sleeve thingy you mention is, undoubtedly, the SKF Speedi-Sleeve. SKF bought Chicago Rawhide some years ago. The effect of the CR transaction was an immediate 30% cost increase for me across the board. On the upside I believe ALL the part numbers remain virtually unchanged.
