  1. Wasn`t every other grille rib painted black in 1934 models? Only year grille was like that.
  2. 1938 was the first year of rear coil springs for Buick, 1960 the last year of the torque tube, don`t know when first used in Buicks, may have been in the first Buick made.
  3. I see lots of Fords and Mercurys, some Chevys, couple Oldsmobiles, a Plymouth, a Packard?(lower left 2nd row), one Edsel, a late 30s or 40s car(upper left corner) and one possible Buick(black car in upper left corner).
  4. Still looking for a 1935 Pontiac Little Indian bumper guard. This is a one year item, unique to 1935 Pontiac.
  5. Still looking for a "Little Indian" bumper guard, unique to `35 Pontiac only..
  6. BB, is that the larger trunk-lid on the yellow Cad? Trunk handle looks to be larger and more verticle similar to the Buick. I like all of them. And the gas cap location? Upper portion of the left tail light flips up to reveal gas cap.
  7. Kgreen, it was the Sombrero hubcaps that stood out screaming Cadillac to me.. Cadillac and Buick did share the same Fisher bodies trimmed out differently. Also notice there were two different trunk lids that Cadillac`s and Buick`s used, the Cad has the lower profiled one, and the Buick you show, has the more rounded one, which gave more trunk space.
  8. Looks like a Pontiac flathead 8cyl manifold..
  9. Who is going to moderate me now? Get out in the shop and crank up those 100Watt Pioneer CS-99A speakers to where I can hear them in Texas..
  10. `34 master if it has the Dubonnet front suspension.
  11. Use a small flat thin sharp bladed screw driver to raise the barb of the clip, and it should pull off the stud.
  12. "He said his name was "Ralph"..
  13. I spent 2yr(`67-`69) at NAAS Fallon Nevada, and 2yr on the USS Midway CVA-41(`69-`71)right out of a major rebuild at Hunters Point San Francisco. Still a Pollywog.
  14. Bernie, that`s my fault, I left off the "Bombsight" that`s on the ad. I`ve always thought that ornament was so the drunk driver could keep the car on his side of the road. I like the way you work on your car, flip it on it`s side, EZ access. For some reason you seem like an ex Navy guy.. Tom
  15. Tom, nice `36, I have a 3 w/coupe that was completely disassembled when I bought it. I`m missing the front tag mount/bracket. Could you take a close up picture of yours and post it. I have that exact same grille guard I`m thinking of using.
  16. Someone(AACA member) had an ad posted last week or so looking for a Bullseye ornament. Not you? It looks like a nice one. You might call them early Monday and not depend on them returning your call, Ft Worth would be central time.
  17. Someone maybe looking for this stuff.. These are all listed in Dallas C/L auto parts "nailhead" 401 engine 230d13c8187130839e0d51b129bc8452@sale.craigslist.org 264 engine b2e4273925c5340189cf734406b33906@sale.craigslist.org 2 Dyna-flo`s 1 long shaft, 1 short shaft af065054fb47323dbd6e9d097481a837@sale.craigslist.org
  18. Dave, JTrato has not been on site since the day after joining AACA and his posting the pictures. Try sending a Personal Message and see if he will respond..
  19. Thanks for correcting me, I thought it would be similar to a few previous years. In a way the `39 is an odd-ball. HA!!
  20. Dave`s number 763 427 3460 m-f 5-7pm central time
  21. Yes, I did have a little fit and glad no one was here to witness it. I also used anti-seize when I put it back together.
  22. Neil, I rebuilt a `41 248 for my `36 coupe. The engine had never been apart. I hope this doesn`t happen to you, but all the water pump mount bolts twisted off. flush with the head. Also all the mounting bolts had copper washers..
  23. Jereld, I agree with John. It`s plain to see the rubbing block of the points is not touching the high point of the cam. While the dist. is removed, turn the shaft, are the points opening/closing? It won`t trigger the coil if points are staying closed. Correctly set the points, with rubbing block of the points on the high point of the cam, gap the points at .017, then reinstall. Also check the shaft for any sideways movement(like a bad bushing)this could affect the point setting. Also when tightening the set screw of the points, it will sometimes "move", altering the gap setting.
