  1. Do a GOOGLE search for : Leather cone clutch aaca forum. Much info is already here.
  2. Do NOT pressurize the fuel tank if your car has the King-Seeley fuel quantity system ! It will blow the red fluid out of the gauge glass.
  3. McMaster-Carr is a source for "stainless steel wire cloth".
  4. Old Cars Weekly did an article on this vehicle in 2009, along with an update on the story. I cannot paste the link for some reason. It seems the vehicle was created around 2006 from a convertible coupe with rumble seat. All according to searches of Cadillac build records. But the people involved will not comment on the true history. Bottom line is , the car isn't 45 years old. And it isn't a Henney build !
  5. http://www.conceptcarz.com/view/photo/397248,16926/1933-LaSalle-345-C_photo.aspx An interesting story. I found this with Google Image. Perhaps this is the one. It is claimed to be the ONE and ONLY.
  6. A King-Seeley fuel quantity system. Not difficult to clean and repair sending unit. All the capillary tubes must be cleaned and checked for free flow. Check the cups for small cracks and just soft solder to fill cracks. Despite all the bad press these systems will work well if one pays attention to detail. Instructions are online to set up. Parts available too !
  7. Quarter inch fuel fittings are plenty big enough for adequate fuel flow.
  8. Ask Stan Howe at Strombergof.com If anyone knows , it's Stan !
  9. Just where is your friends 1926 Paige? I am west of Pittsburgh, pa. with a '26 6-72 sedan. I would enjoy comparing notes with him.
  10. Try a Google search for Obsolete Bearings. Many listings there claim they have anything you need. Worth a try.
  11. Fabulous work , all Congrats to you ! Thank you for the tour.
  12. Universal motors are easy to find ebay or NAPA.
  13. Does ANYONE out there have a catalog for Neville wheels ? What letter-number stamped on the wheel fits what make/model car ? Buying a wheel on line is a crapshoot even if the seller has Moxie enough to know how to measure the hole center and recognize a tapered hole. My search online is limited to ads from trade papers listing cars they made wheels for, but not specific enough for numbers. These wheels are so popular a listing would benefit many shoppers trying to find a wheel for their specific car. Thank you
  14. It is best NOT to guess. Unless you don't care if it fits correctly.
  15. I use mag wheel cleaner on BMW motorcycle cases to great effect with gray Scotch Bright . Repeated use will remove the cadmium plating though. Degrease first ,of course.
  16. A depot hack has no body sheetmetal aft of the hood. For hack bodies look at Martin-Perry catalogs. Many other companies made them as well, M-P is the usual ones found today, but it was an all wood body. The screenside would offer more examples to copy, most of it is there now. Good luck!
  17. Most I have seen have the size and manufacturers name or logo on the convex or to say 'outside'. Are yours marked as such as viewed ?
  18. First car I have ever seen with THREE spare tires. Is that unique to that year Marquette ?
  19. This car appears to have two pedals on the floor , same size, under the steering shaft.
  20. You need someone to come forward with the Hollander Interchange book and list the other cars that used this pump in question. I have to doubt Graham made this pump for their 1929. Do you have a bad pump or no pump ?
  21. I checked the garage. No 1931 Buick Phaeton there. That's a relief !
