    1918 hood

Maybe you have a Chicago hood on your car.
  2. The 1938 DKW Sonderklasse was a twocycle four cylinder V. Actually a V 6, the two front pistons were used to pressurize the crankcase. http://www.kfz-tech.de/Engl/ZweitaktmotorA.htm This link is an explanation. It proved MOST troublesom for the dealers ! Two cycles were used in Europe far more than most here would think. Gas stations had a dedicated pump for 40:1 fuel.
  3. Use Slip Plate. Go to SLIPPLATE.COM.

  7. This needs a hinged padded panel for a seat . Then you could make some money delivering groceries, flip the seat and drive home. TOO CUTE !
  8. Larry just had a feeling that used carlot had PORKED him.
  9. I am seeing amazing original cars coming into the light. Teen or twenties sedans must have plate glass. Would anyone drive a car like that to preserve originality ? For HPOF ? Eight panels of plate glass seems TOO dangerous. Glass is cheap, but time involved is HUGE. What are folks doing with these Amazing originals ? Thanks.
  10. Ply 33 is right. Speaking in New York city, Sing Sing is "up the river".

  20. Was anyone watching the Chandler that sold last Sunday? ebay # 180790230664. LOOKED good. Billed as "original". I asked a question but it wasn't answered until Wednesday evening ! It was titled as 1927 FORD MODEL A CHANDLER. Seller obviously knew nothing about cars. Couldn't have been the owner. I am smarting for not bidding, but it was in LA and I'm in western PA. Just too much of a gamble for me as it would fill my garage to the brim. A Chandler is my dream car as I was born in Cle. too. AND grandpa drove a Chandler through the depression. So WHERE did it go? Is the buyer OUT there watching this ? Enquiring minds want to know. Thanks
  21. You said you "Decided to get the original vacuum tank Working properly". Why do you need another fuel system as well ? So many cars used vacuum tanks for so many years ,Yet with todays technology we need redundant system ? That's too nice a car to mess with an electric pump. It just needs nothing more. As for tubing, what was there ? Steel will out live us both, copper too if you want the easiest and quickest way. Great auto, I saw it at Stan Hywet.
  22. You left out neuritis, neuralgia, the heartbreak of psoriasis, AND a boon to nursing mothers. But they won't tell us what's in it.
  23. Backyardmechanic, Can you link me to the "1917 roadster for sale in DB news"? That may be the car I'm looking for so long. At the new DB Club site? Thank you.
