  1. If that same 5th from the right has an extended lifting tab I may be interested. Something like the photo below.
  2. I wanted to emulate my friend Larry (he is our hero) but we went from snow and 20 degrees on Wednesday to 63 and sunny on Thursday. So I took both cars out and gave them some exercise. Today, 45 and raining.
  3. Thriller: Good luck. Going into the produce business?
  4. Hugh: I believe that ford40 had since sold the 1921 and has a 1931 Buick now.
  5. Dave: I bow to your skill! Gary got it also. I went directly to my file of 1915 cars and thought it a C-37 as wishful thinking. The C-25 is second from the top in the photo. I must pay attention and should have known since I have about 20 photos of the 1915 C-36 that I bid on at the R/M auction. The purchaser (once removed) did get on the forum once to introduce himself and was not heard from again. The catalog photos are not of an angle to show the crank thru the radiator. So I did an oops.
  6. Last time I was at the YORK History museum they had books on sale at the gift shop on the history of the Pullman and all the existing cars. I lent my copy and it has not come back yet. Larry
  7. This Larry agrees with Larry as the set up at Allentown was the most successful arrangement I had ever experienced!
  8. Yes 1915 C-37. The plate shows a 1920 date. The car looks to have a nice new top. The original top does not have the gypsy sides as shown here. Larry
  9. Yep, definitely 1927 engine. Look at all those bent push rods!

  11. Bob: From what I recall when I had to remove the hood to re-core the radiator there was a simple clip with a threaded stud. The pain was getting around the radio to loosen and then reattach the nut under the cowl. I always have to give my hood a shove back before I close it. Mostly due to slight misalignment from the nose piece/grille locating pins. Larry
  12. Al. The wheels are listed in the Master Parts book. Over the years there were several unfinished 1923-55 Sport touring cars that came up for sale in the BCA Buick Bugle. Several had the Truarc disks. Surviving cars usually have wood or wire wheels. It is somewhat rare to find disks on Buicks. I particularly like the looks on the 1929 cars as shown below of Bill McLaughlin's 29 Roadster(much like the Packard disks). Photo from the 2013 Pre War after tour. Larry
  13. With the carb and all the linkages set up properly and that the switch is functioning properly the accelerator switch works fine. The throttle knob on the dash will assist in starting if you get stuck on a hill. I have friends that have high dollar restorations on some of their Buicks of this vintage and did remote hidden switches and disabled the original accelerator /vacuum switch because they did not trust it. They may drive their car less that 100 miles a year. I have driven mine over 8,000 miles since 2013 and never had a problem with the set up.. But I do have a rebuilt switch just in case. Larry
  14. We did a10 mile drive to limber up "Beulah" while the streets were free of salt.
  15. Hugh: Don't forget that if you are having the radiator redone the filler neck is to be nickel plated. I should have had mine redone on the Standard before I had the re-core done. There is still a little plating left and it does not look too bad. The Master radiator on the other hand, was re-cored many years ago with a modern(at the time)core. When I tried to clean up the filler neck there was no plating left and it is scarred as if they used a pipe wrench on it!
  16. When we toured Bulgari's restoration facilities I took these photos of an original car that they were preserving for reference. It does have the metal artillery wheels. Notice the location of the dent in the front fender? Could it be??
  17. I bet if you send that # to Keith Flickenger at Bulgari's Allentown complex they may either have the car or know where it is.
  18. I believe that the same car was on craigslist several years ago. There were some better photos at the time. The conversation on the forum was about what model it may be. Hard to sell a car with one terrible photo and so little information.
  19. I just spent some time going thru some of the images and they include scans of early catalogs. http://www.theverge.com/2016/1/6/10723680/nyc-library-public-domain-images-digital I already downloaded the 1909 Buick material. Larry
  20. I had inquired about this car last year. He sent me some more photos and a video with it running. I was told by another forum member that the car is pretty much a mix and match of parts. Also many sport roadster specific parts are not there. Such as correct steering wheel, nickeled radiator shell, steering column. Visor missing etc. Not all parts that are there are consistent with what is to be found on a Sport roadster. The only factory 1922 photo I have seen does not show a nickeled windshield stanchion and no wind wings. I believe the ad below is for the 1923-54. Still a great project for the price. The wire wheels are a definite plus. I am still chasing that elusive Sport roadster or Sport touring. The other photo is of the one that got away in 2011that the deal fell thru because it was not running.
  21. Agree with Ben's comments to Thomas .. We will be thrilled to see your 1906 and 1912 Buicks!!! As I mentioned about the House on The Rock. When we stopped on our way to the Portland nationals it was a FULL 3 hours and we were pooped. Just way too much to take in to hurry through. We checked on the Taliesin Tour and it was over $50.00 a person 3 years ago. Larry
  22. Pete: I believe that in the 1937-38 Buick service bulletins book there is a diagram and information on this Marvel monster. That was the only place I found info on my smaller Marvel BD-1. One of our members with a 1937-40C Phaeton had one on his car. I will see what I can find. Larry
