  1. I had that problem with my hood. After; some trial and error adjustments, copious amounts of white lithium grease, Two new springs on the lower hood latch mechanism it works like new again. (at the hardware store, I found two larger diameter springs that fit over the original springs.) Mine was sidelined last month with leaky wheel cylinders as well.
  2. The portholes and front fender spear are about the only trim that are common between our cars. But, I'll keep my eye open for you.

  9. I noticed that battery cover. I see the plug covers are in place, too . The '53 are different from the later plug covers ('53 wires make a neater appearance, entering the covers through the back...)

  13. I got two new rear wheel cylinders, new axle seals, and new spark plugs. It runs as smooth as silk !!! I drove the Roadmaster Friday, Saturday, Today, and I might drive it tomorrow.
  14. I gave blood today, so i cant get under the dash to get the things out. Also, I can't get a decent picture of them in place. I'll pull them out tomorrow and post some more photos…
  15. Regarding the double pulley; If, you can mount them securely together and con-centrically It should work.
  16. It is satisfactory . If it is not clogged. They can be hard to find. I have a the larger cylindrical shaped filter on the vertical portion of the line where it exits the pump at the front of the engine.
  17. I had this problem. I replaced my 7psi cap with a 14psi cap Also put 1/2 gallon of "Water Wetter" in addition to the water/antifreeze mix.
