  1. I haven't seen my bare floor in 14 years. And it's the only '55 floor I've seen. It's why I posed the question. Lamar, I knew you would know, thanks for that. I remember noticing that the power steering on that car was from a '53 On the internet, I've seen two other Supers with factory manual shift. It is too bad that he has to give it up... I hope it goes to a good home.
  2. I knew you were close. It would be a trip I would take... Tom is making some forged pistons for nailheads. You should give him a call and ask if there will be any for a 264. He is taking pre-orders (at a discount) now.
  3. It's too bad he has to sell.... This picture tells a lot does the raised area around the brake and clutch mean it's a factory straight shift job? The hole in the floor is certainly big enough for Fred Flintstone brakes.
  4. I've had to replace one side window. A glass shop cut one to fit. The side glass is flat, so flat safety glass of the proper thickness should be available. Finding good factory glass is not easy. And, the convertible rear side glass is for convertible only, making it rarer still.
  5. Aluminum foil will not HARM the chrome plate. Absent the presence of rust, I've found foil to be effective. I have used gun cotton. But requires A LOT OF ELBOW GREASE If you have rust, use naval jelly, then some silver paint to cover the blemish. (Or, replate) But for stains and spots, I recommend BLUE MAGIC It's all I use for stainless and chrome now. http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1420324&KPID=1190442&pla=pla_1190442 Blue Magic® Metal Polish Cream (400) Item no: 8110769 | 077336400125 $8.49

  8. I hope his are better than the two I had like that. They were junk. I put NAPA 27F and have not regretted it.
  9. 1967 was the last full production year for the MEL 462 (1968 changed over to the Ford 460 early in production) The MEL 462 is a finely engineered engine , along with the finely engineered uni-body Lincoln. In my i opinion it would be a shame to separate the MEL 462 from the 67 Lincoln

  11. More investigation is definitely warranted

  13. Photos please. I like Dodges, too
  14. Just as Bob says, Get it all together. And then it's a lot of trial and error to get it just right. Including the rubber bumper stops in the radiator support. Get lots of white lithium grease and apply it to the hinges, springs and latch assembly
  15. I noticed an in crease in vapor on mine after a hard braking. Has anyone put a pcv system in place of the blowby?
  16. Yes, Dave thanks. Happy New Year
  17. I agree with the others the horizontal adjustment screw gives an almost 90 degrees of swing for adjustment. Most telling of an aftermarket piece
