  1. I took the Roadmaster for about an hour ride. I was surprised the tires didn't need air, this was the first time I had driven since it has cooled off. But they were at 32 psi. Nice drive out and back. Ran into some misting rain just as I turned toward the barn... I almost washed it before I left from home, now I'm glad I didn't waste the effort...
  2. I've had Cokers on mine for 13 years. They ride great (for bias ply). If I had it to do over, I would get Coker radials
  3. I've not met Lamar(Mr Earl) in person. But , when I do; I'm going to give him a WARM hand shake! Because, thanks to Lamar, I'll have HEAT in the Roadmaster , again ! ;-)
  4. Thanks for that detailed explanation. That is most interesting. I would add that , No amount of tuning will make up for the lower amount of energy that ethanol provides vs gasoline
  5. Mine has factory right hand mirror. Due to its placement next to the 'A' pillar; the drive must lean a foot and half to the right to see around the mirror. I'm sure you will do a better job of mirror placement than tbe Buick stylists
  6. mine is a Carter carb. I didn't know that about Rochesters....h As you say about yours with Carters, mine runs flawlessly
  7. Keep the original. My carburetor has needed work only twice in 40 years. Once during engine rebuild 35 years ago. And again, 13 years ago . I've not even had to adjust it since then.
  8. You need replacement drums. Just based in my memory, the drums are the same for 53-56 special century super Roadmaster have a wider drum
  9. Saturday , I drove a 40 mile round trip to Jack's Restaurant in Moody, Alabama. They had the mast cruise of the year for that site. Nice night for a drive.
  10. Here's a nice Century for sale on V8Buick.com http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=274392
  11. Bob sold me a pair of spark plug covers a couple of months ago.
  12. If got a Testor's 4 0unce bottle. I got it from a local toy and scale model store (
  13. I just drove mine to get some fuel, I washed it and polished the front bumper. I plan to driver her up to the north end of the county to cruise in this afternoon
  14. Dad put the solid state ignition in there ten years ago.... It requires no maintenance whatsoever, I've even forgotten what brand it is. For Dynaflow cars there is a dash pot that is supposed to hold the throttle , preventing stalling. Also, the idle must be set with the car in drive, And I've got the timing and plug gaps set at the shop manual specs. For cold starts, The choke is a little tricky too, with the accelerator starter switch. Don't press the accelerator any farther than is necessary to engage the starter. Pressing it too far will disengage the choke
  15. I found the answer to my own question , and the correct spelling Swedish Krona = $0.16
  16. What is the exchange rate of Kronar to Dollar?
