This has been in our family since the late 60s. Unfortunately, it sat in a shed on the family farm from the early 1980s until recently. The car was literally dragged out of the shed and slowly brought back to life. The 354 HEMI was completely rebuilt along with all the associated hardware. The transmission was also rebuilt. New tires, new fuel system, new brake system, etc. The car is ready for someone that will truly appreciate it for what it is. Its not perfect but its perfectly enjoyable. Lots of paperwork to go with the rebuilding of the car. Asking $28,500 or trade. Vehicles of interest are these: RAM SRT 4dr, Chrysler Conquest or Jeep SRT Grand Cherokee. More info given to serious, serious people. Located one hour west of Minneapolis. classiclines
Wow, you could eat off the engine, but I'm not sure I'd want to sit on the upholstery - - - and I fail to find the "common theme" for the desired trades lol
George Smolinski
Sitting in a shed on what looks like a dirt floor, I wonder what the underside looks like.
Xander Wildeisen
I like it, but the tow truck driver left his magnetic tail lights on the car. New Yorker tail lights, how beautiful you are.🤔 1

It looks like the fronts have been redone with the incorrect inserts. Back seat looks correct, albeit a different color. Maybe now that I look a bit closer I can see the Thunder birds. All the pictures of the front seats makes them upside down. If this thing was out here in the NW I would be checking it out. I miss my very similar car.
Xander Wildeisen
Love the car, I would be tempted to have the seller keep the tail lights 😂 a 56 300 got everything right.
JACK M
Oh yea, the 300s were very cool, and even thirstier.
Fossil
Jack your car was beautiful. The listed car looks like more work and money than I could handle in a lifetime. Some cars make good fun drivers without investing a lot of money. This car just looks badly neglected. 2
StillOutThere
The '56 seat trim cloth is referred to as "Eagle cloth", the term having been sourced from the acknowledged chrome eagle ornaments embellishing the front and rear of the car as well as other eagle locations from year to year including things like dome lamp lenses. As a '55 Imperial owner, I would not have the tail lights done ANY other way on these corporate-topping models ! 1
TexRiv_63
Cool car, love the taillights, but that interior is scary and the price is pretty high.
suchan
As well as the exterior cleaned up it'd be interesting what an interior detail could accomplish. That, and a substantial price adjustment, might move the car.

69merc
I can understand the high price, considering all the work that was recently done. I had an Imperial once that I had to sell for what it cost me to get running again. Unfortunately, whoever buys this car still will have a lot to do. Only a die-hard fan would wade into this project. A coupe is pretty rare. Those tail lights are not an afterthought. They hearken back to Exner's dream cars the K310 and the C200 of '51-'52.

69merc
Now the price is getting a bit more realistic. These are very dependable trouble free cars once they are all sorted.
