AdamInNH
I like these Forward Look cars. I guess masking tape is expensive in Idaho? 3
The 55er
And exactly whose idea were those 1966 Pontiac spinner wheelcovers?
Jolly_John
Not picking, just commenting....but, I believe the original engine for this '59 would have been a 361. However, there is a lot to like (and enjoy) about this MOPAR. John
The 55er
For the record, the 383 engine would be correct for this 1959 DeSoto Firedome, the lower-priced Firesweeps had the 361.
Xander Wildeisen
Gooding Idaho, it's a small farm town right off the freeway. Not much to do in Gooding. Twin Falls one way, Mountain Home the other way.You could stop in Wendell for the tape. Big salvage yard in Wendell. https://www.llclassicauto.com/
Crusty Trucker
Is that air cleaner a "hubcap sandwich"? ...1962 Ford Galaxie? and how about that Walmart overflow bottle secured by cable ties? $23k?? George Smolinski
I’d rather have the ‘59 next to it.
alsancle
Any thoughts as to why the car next to it is under a tent even though they are in a garage?

Xander Wildeisen
Probably a work space for body and paint. Tarp off the sides, you got a paint booth.

More than likely to keep dust off. No matter how clean your garage is, your car still gets dusty.
kingrudy
I like the car, but I do agree with Crusty Trucker about the zip ties and the overflow bottle. Those things and the dopey looking air cleaner makes you wonder where else they cut corners on this car. I hope that my comments are taken in a constructive way. When asking 23K for a car, it is my opinion that you should not have to apologize for work that is done in a sloppy, or cheap way. I believe that when you sell a car, make it clean and free of non original parts, but If non original parts are used due to the seller's inability to find original parts, this should be pointed out in the ad. The 55er
Two year restoration didn't include a new heater core or correct routing of the heater hoses. BTW that overflow bottle isn't connected to an original 1959 DeSoto radiator either.

Xander Wildeisen
Idaho is a tough market to sell out of, especially this time of year. Might be snow on the ground there.

DrumBob
It's a great looking car, for sure. I'm a sucker for shades of pink and coral. I wish they used colors like that today. No chance.
