daniel boeve
Very nice car .If it was not that i recently bought a 1953 Buick cvt and a 1935 Mercedes 200 lang i would go for it .I was so many times in Costa mesa in the nineties but never knew about it otherwise i would have been mine . Marty Roth
This example may likely become a Low-Rider if not otherwise rescued
deac
These fastback models from the various divisions at GM are great cars. They are the epitome of the 'big american car' with a 'boulevard ride'. I live about 45 minutes from this car and I would buy it but my garage is full. I do car inspections for a living so if anyone is interested in this car I can do an inspection for you. Chris The attached picture is of a '48 Buick sedanet I used to own.
auburnseeker
Looks to have been refurbished at some point since the interior looks to have been redone as has the dash which was painted and not wood grained like original. Still a neat looking car that would be alot of fun to clean up.
Malo48
Did Olds have two fastback styles that year? I was looking up other '48 Oldsmobile photos and I see some differing styles. It would be interesting to know what the engine situation is.

Fleek
Don't think he knows what he has. Looks like an automatic transmission to me and he advertises it as a standard. I am not sure I could trust his knowledge of the car. Edited April 25, 2020 by Fleek Additional details (see edit history)
D Yaros
It seems strange to me that seller would make mention of "custom hubcaps," but not picture them?

The other was a 98 series fastback with the straight 8, it looked similar to a 49 or 50 Olds club sedan.

RansomEli
I may be sentenced to AACA jail for my comment, but from this angle the car would look really great with a 2" chop and a perfect jet-black paint job. And leave the visor on. Shame on me.

Fleek
I still do not think the seller knows what he has. Some details are just wrong.. Surely whoever owns the car should know the difference between a manual and automatic transmission
