White and no AC can be a hard sell sometimes.

I hope it sells high at Mecum

Hope it sells high too! Will be very interesting as its in a big money area.

Agree fully all white no A/C can be tough but it does have buckets.

One would think it would be wise to wipe the dog's paw prints off the seats before taking pictures.

Photos do that dark green no justice. Gorgeous. I will be in Dallas 16 September probably too late. But you can have lemon squad inspect it for you.

According to Google maps, the address shown in the Huntsville ad is for an animal hospital.  You can see from the street view that the house as pictured with the car, is no where in sight.

Heads up.   Looks like the Green 65 Riv from Dallas might be a fake

https://huntsville.craigslist.org/cto/6672591700.html

Exact same listing in Huntsville, Alabama

If the listing is fake, is it a real GS as well?  The Gran Sport emblem on the rear panel seems to be sitting higher than the stock location.

Ad is a scam. It's for sale on many Craigslist sites!

I have seen several Riviera listings on CL today that are on several city sites. It's hard to tell if some are scams or just sellers attempts for maximum visibility. Unfortunately mass postings like this don't seem to generate any red flags with CL administrators (it should in my opinion). Sometimes I wonder if the whole system is being run by a Masters Degree recipient who still lives with his parents in their basement and has a server farm down there. :-P

In most cases you just have to ask yourself, "does it look too good to be true". If answer is yes then the scam antennas go up. If that 65 listing was legit it would have been sold quickly and probably without even listing it. Following basic rules there is no reason for anyone to get caught in a scam from CL.

The great thing about CL is its free, if they go and hire a CL watchdog team to start monitoring the millions of listings, it won't be free. Have to take good with bad. I choose free!

Great detective work CJP.

I’ll be watching close to see where this angel goes.

Looking at the ignition, air controls and completely worn out floor well side carpet one can assess she was long well driven.

I hope it sells high at Mecum

Mecum 66 GS bid to $31k, no sale.

As an FYI, before the auction JZRIV and I both guessed at were it would end.  I guessed $40k, his was $30k.  He is the man on 66's!  :>)

This color combination is stunning in my opinion.  My '64 is a similar exterior, but combine that with the tan/brown interior - WOW.

BTW, is it me, or does that nailhead seem to "shake" more than normal when he popped the hood?  I don't have any other ones to go by, but the one in the video seems like it vibrates more than I was expecting.  Could be just my imagination.

I saw this same car.  Interesting interior.  Standard seats with no buttons. Custom interior wood grain panels on standard door panels. Terrible fit on the headliner.  My 64 was that color when I got it; nor of the first things I decided to change.  Just stating my humble opinion.

I'm pretty forgiving, but even I think this is a Frankenstein rebuild. Strange choices.

Isn’t this the car Chris in Las Vegas built? His was an off color blue and had the combo interior.
