  1. Don Kuehn-Doorsills LLC 81 Graham Avenue North Haledon, NJ 07508 Phone: (973) 423-1196 I last from them in January, 2019. Their work is excellent.
  2. That $84k sale occurred in May, 2018. Funny; the VIN on the eBay car is only 4 numbers "later" than the BaT car. Are you certain this eBay listing was a scam sale? I agree; it really smells fishy!
  3. Yes, Burton Waldron could be quite confrontational and obstinate when dealing with fitment and installation issues. Customer relations and co-operative problem resolution were not his strong points, but he meant well. When I purchased Waldron's in 2006, one of my primary objectives was improving our problem resolution processes. I think you would find the company has changed in the past 20 years. The current owner is very customer-focused. Burton passed away a couple of years ago; may he rest in peace.
  4. Dandy Dave, I'm sorry for your loss. Please accept my condolences. I lost my Dad when he was only 71; be thankful for all the years you had together. Joe
  5. I once started a gas pump where someone had locked the handle open. Luckily, I was holding the handle and was able to shut off the flow as soon as the pump started. Since that episode, I ALWAYS check the hold-open latch before pulling the pump handle out of the cradle.
  6. Looks like a great truck! That generation of C-10 has been bringing good $ on Bring-a-Trailer. http://bringatrailer.com Or you could work with a consigner like Matt Harwood, who frequents this site.
  7. This appears to be a 1978 Model Year plate (ST78) 3BN69 Style = Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale LAN=Lansing, MI body assembly location 15, 15U, 16M PNT = silver top and upper body with dark gray lower body (accent) color (You should confirm this by checking a 1978 Chassis & Body Service Manuals for your car) TR 24C = I believe this is a light blue cloth interior code 05A = First week of May, 1978 (Build week) AM6 = split front seat with folding center armrest I don't know the meaning of the other codes.
  8. What a beautiful car; best of luck on the auction!
  9. With credit to Tevye (Fiddler on the Roof): On the other hand.... Here's a 22 minute comparison review of the Cadillac CT5 Blackwing, Tesla Model S Plaid (what the hell kind of name is that for a CAR?) and the BMW M5 CS that explains the difference between the three. I'll take the Caddy, please!: https://www.hagerty.com/media/videos/cadilac-blackwing-jason-cammisa-icons/?utm_source=SFMC&utm_medium=email&utm_content=MED_UN_NA_EML_UN_Watchlist_Nov8&hashed_email=10d9fd8adee74b98c70423f736b77222aeb6d28b79cfb2ee1ff6112d5c2e0c99
  10. Even if you're painting outside, use a respirator, not a typical particulate mask. Your lungs are worth more than the $30 you'll spend for a 3M (or equivalent) respirator!
  11. The Ford Eluminator Mach-E motor is already sold out. If you click "Buy Now" on the Ford Performance site, you get a message asking if you want to be notified when the product is available. After driving a Tesla Model 3 (Dual motor), I can certainly understand why people love electric cars. They are incredibly quick and fun to drive. As long as there are enough charging options to avoid charge anxiety, I think almost everyone will want to be driving electric in the next 10 years.
  12. I agree with Frank & Ben. Good plan, especially the recommendation to run it on the stand to make sure it's road-ready.
  13. I believe it's a 1959 Electra 225, not an Invicta. The trunk emblem is unique to the Electra 225 and there are no venti-ports on the Electra.
  14. Any of these look familiar? http://rebuiltmags.com/parts.php https://www.magneto-ignition.co.uk http://www.mainelymagnetos.com/BoschParts.html
  15. Last week, I drove the Caballero to Brighton, MI (about 35 miles from home). Ken Lingenfelter invited it to be exhibited at The Lingenfelter Collection! Here it is waiting for the staff to pull it in to the display area. It is one of very few cars on display that are not owned by Lingenfelter; I was happy to say yes to the request!
  16. I think it might go over $100k. Lots of strong Pontiac bids on BaT lately.
  17. With the prices going crazy lately, this could be a decent buy...if it isn't rotten underneath.
  18. Wow; this thing is fantastic. I love the VOE mufflers. Currently have them on my 68 GTO. I can't imagine what this car will go for. Already bid over $60k, 2 hours into the auction. Drop the rear end about 3" (back where it belongs) and done.
  19. Nice car. I had a '77 Grand Prix for a few years; really nice ride. Surprisingly quick and there are a lot of "invisible" aftermarket brake/suspension/steering enhancements that can be made.
  20. Adam, that is looking fantastic!
  21. If you can mount the wheel to a hub, you can spin the wheel and maintain a fixed brush position to paint a perfect circle. Here's a YouTube video showing how to stripe wheels with a Beugler pinstriping tool:
  22. Mark, I am so sorry for your loss. I met your Dad through these forums and the Buick Club of America; he visited a few times and we really enjoyed our time together. We were looking forward to his first post-lockdown visit to Michigan and a caravan ride to the 2022 Buick National meet in Illinois. He spoke of you often and was very proud of you and your accomplishments. I'm happy to see that you plan to honor Doug by keeping this thread updated as you continue in his footsteps. I'll send you a PM about some parts and documents I had pulled together for your Dad; we can talk whenever is convenient. Joe Tonietto
