It might be eiser to have new sprockets made if you have trouble finding chain.

10-30 oil will give a lot of cold start protection and the same protection of a 30wt when hot. Use full detergent for the most benefit.

I would use a light oil.

If just a touch up I spray a bit into the cap and use a small brush. It works! -

One more, My Silverado truck got a bright color. I pulled all the trim and I think that was harder than doing the paint job! If I remember correctly it was a Porche red. I agree with the OP about white or grey. -

You can get great results with aerosol carpet dye sold at auto part stores. I have used them and they work very well and the color lasts. -
The ones for a Ford model A are very similar.

Good story, but since slate is eons old when it is first used as a shingle, it didn't get much older for the second roof. I bet it can be reused almost forever.

Some of the cut-down model A wheels I had were the early 21" ones and that got rid of the rust prone rim. -

I like that cut-down model A 19" wheel. I used to run cut-down wheels with 6:00x16 recaps when I was young. -
If it will protect and not be obvious, why not add it?
