  1. I agree totally with Dave. This car could have a real safety issue and should not be driven anywhere till the problems are solved.
  2. It goes in a museum where flying pigs and pink elephants are kept under lock and key......... lol.....
  3. well Steve maybe we are getting somewhere, who knows. I cant believe all of the stories but more information will surface as time goes by. I would still like to see a photo. Just one that was scrapped does not make 4 Will keep trying Chuck Kerls
  4. This is maybe the information that we have been looking for. Really good photos. I guess the other question that needs some input, is what do you know about the little pewter model of the 1988 Reatta coupe. Who made it and how many were made. If you have any information please share Thanks Chuck Kerls booreatta@cox.net
  5. I addition to mice getting inside the car they also like to eat wires under the hood. the best way for me because I live next to a field is to keep mouse poison along the walls of the garage. i dont have any live pets to deal with so the poison is never a problem. I know they get in from time to time and eat the pellets of poison before getting to the cars and then they go for water, so I sometimes find them outside the garage and when I check the bait it has usually been disturbed. I am an animal lover but hate mice Chuck Kerls booreatta@cox.net
  6. Does anybody planning to go Charlotte go thru Wichita Kansas? Maybe plan a caravan to NC. I know its along way off but it will be here before we know it. I am staying at the host hotel Chuck Kerls 316-655-1099
  7. Bob this is a great idea. The BCA office had some cards printed up earlier this year and they sent all of the directors some. I sent the ones that I had to Ed Farnell and I am sure that he still has some. If Ed is out of them the BCA office should have more. Chuck Kerls booreattta@cox.net

    freeze plugs

Totally agree with Ronnie on this one, brass is the ONLY WAY TO GO. Rubber is a waste of time Chuck
  11. 105 today in Wichita Kansas and very humid. walk outside and you are wet already. We are about to set an all time record for days over 100. Our old record was set in the 1800's. This has not been a fun summer. Chuck Kerls
  12. Around here they are giving chickens crushed ice to keep them from laying hard boiled eggs
  13. Thats gonna be a great looking car and I dont blame you I would do AC also. With the heat lately you would have to be part nuts to travel with out it Chuck
  14. BEAUTY is skin deep but UGLY IS CLEAR TO THE BONE
  15. Is it legal to drive at night with just the fog lights on, or do you have to use the headlights? Im sure that all states are different Chuck Kerls
  16. I agree with all you guys about the headlights suggested light. It seems like mine always comes on way to early, Its still daylight and the light come on, Its lilke a wife, always reminding me of something, and I always thought I was perfect......OH well Chuck
  17. My 90 convertible still has R12 and it was low on freon and I was going to convert it to R134. I put in some freeze 12 and it works fine, I know that some people say it will killl the system but if it will be converted in the future then it was cheeper to go the freeze 12 route. Seems to work great Chuck
  18. I was contacted by the owner of a 1968 Buick LeSebre 4dr hardtop. It shows 46000 miles. Car is restorable, dash looks good, no cracks on the top pad. Has some surface rust but not bad. Has factory AC non working. The car seems to start and run. It looks origional but I am not an expert on the 68. He told me he was askilng $2000.00, but you would need to contact him for more information. That is all the information I have on the car Contact Bill Lupton 316-461-1353 car is in Wichta Kansas I have no interest in the car Chuck Kerls booreatta@cox.net
  19. I purchased an old Plymouth 4 door just like that one a year ago only red, it was a 66. had 84000 for $375.00 and sold it to a school kid 2 months later for $650.00 after changing oil and a battery. Old car ran great, just no market here for an old 4 door. 2 door would help the value Chuck

    '89 Vert?

Were you able to call him, I noticed that there was not a phone number for that member. I would bet its a misprint. Chuck Kerls
  21. The day might come when the roster is available on line but the club is not there yet. I think the complaints about putting all the information on line is really unfounded. Anyone good on a computer can find almost anything on line. The biggest argument is for the travler. I carry the roster in the car and when I travel I have the information with me. I say keep in the book form, it has not been published for the past several years anyway. Chuck
  22. I think I remember that tool, It was a flat grey tool made of plastic, and the last one I saw on ebay sold for lots of money, If you still have one post a photo please. I was told they came with all new Reattas and I have no idea if that was correct or not. I never see one for sale anymore as it has been several years Chuck
  23. Thanks Stan if there a test for this. I would bet that is what is going on Chuck
  24. Ok I will get behind him, just voted COME ON REATTA FORUM LET GET BEHIND ONE OF OUR OWN Chuck Kerls
  25. Well I have pressure tested the cooling system with the heater on and no leaks. I took it by a mechanic that I have used in the past and he also checked the system and has confirmed no leaks in the car. It got plenty warm today but no issues surfaced. He questioned if the car got so hot that there was a problem fuel delivery system. he said he has seen gas boil in fuel lines causing issues in this heat. Any other Ideas? Thanks Chuck
