    GAS $$$$$$$$

The world runs on oil and it is curious this time that we have not heard anything from OPEC. Hopefully the crisis in the middle east will settle down again and prices will stabilize or go back the other way like it did in 2008
  6. Huh and I always thought that Kansas had most of the orange cones that have been made. The orange cone is the official land mark of Kansas. They have no season it is year round.

  9. Welcome to the Reatta forum. You don't say where you live but the Reatta Division of the Buick Club of America is very active and a lot of members are on this site. I would like to direct you to the Buick Club of America at Buick Club of America - BCA - Welcome and the Reatta site also at Reatta Division of the Buick Club of America. You can also send you VIN number to the Reatta Data Page site as there is a data base there to track Reattas. You should also entertain joining the BCA and the Reatta Division. I think a lot of us started out with Fiereos, I still have mine, it just hasn't been of the road for several years. It seems like we are getting a lot of younger members of this forum and the Reatta club. Enjoy your ride Chuck Kerls booreatta@cox.net
  10. Got a message from a BCA member that lives in Christchurch and he reported that his family and him were all OK, but he said by text message that there is a Hugh loss of life. Pray for New Zealand and all of the people living there. I can only imagine the frayed nerves with all of the aftershocks. Stay safe
  11. I have to wonder how this thread went from the data base update to the posting of parts on the forum. I don't have a problem with someone selling parts or posting it either. Just keep in mind that we need to keep it friendly. There is more good information than ever before on this forum and new members will use it to improve their cars. Make sure that the info that is out there is accurate, as our cars get older mis information can become a problem. The Reatta Resources at the top of the forum is very good as is other members offerings. Remember the AACA supplies us with this forum at no charge and a big THANK YOU is in order, I think the AACA is all about accuracy for every make of car and the Reatta is no exception. The data base is very important and if some one finds an error then see that if gets fixed. We all can benefit. Let me take a minute to again say that if you are not a member of the BCA and the Reatta Division and or the AACA please consider it again this year. I think that we have one of the most active and lively groups on the AACA website and we are respected and we need to show respect to all posters THINK SPRING AND KEEP CRUISING Chuck Kerls booreatta@cox.net
  12. I talked to George this past week and I think he has it all worked out....Stay tuned to the next Reatta newsletter for more information. Thanks for everyone's input it is appreciated Think Spring Chuck Kerls booreatta@cox.net

  15. Marck I will jump in My name is Chuck Kerls from Wichita Kansas and have owned lots of cars. My current cars are a 1990 Buick Reatta Convertible, a 1984 Buick Riviera Convertible, a 1966 Ford Mustang Convertible, and a 1986 Pontiac Fiero GT. I try to be active in the BCA, the Reatta Division, the AACA and the Mulvane Marauders Car club. Cars are always a good time. My wife Kathy and I try to make as many cars show as we possibly can and try to make the Buick National meets where distance and time allow. I would encourage everybody join a car club and keep cruising, it beats staying at home doing nothing. Hope to see everyone in Danvers this summer Chuck Kerls Wichita Kansas
  16. Good question....not much better in Kansas tonight and tomarrow...more snow.. Think Spring only 33 days to DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME HURRY HURRY
  17. China Moon lots of good shots of a 90 vert. Not a bad movie either
  18. It is a good policy to unhook your battery when the car is not being used for a long period of time. I had a neighbor who had his garage burn down, fire started in the battery area. There are many stories of cars starting on fire while in storage, as wires get older and more brittle they can short our causing a fire. Why risk it. Even new cars can have that problem, if my memory serves me correct, Ford has had several issues of wires shorting and causing fires in the steering column, and that would not happen with out an elect source Chuck
  19. If it is like my Riv pull the fuse on the pull down and just close. Worked for me

Oh well that's life Still have 84 Riv convertible 90 Reatta convertible 86 Pontiac Fiero GT 66 Mustang Convertible Wife says I have to stop. Don't know what my next car will be wink wink Chuck Kerls

  24. I have the muffler and tail pipe that was cut off of one of the donated cars that only had 1500 miles on the clock. It is cut off just behind the cat coverter and the paint has not even been burned off. I have had it in the garage for years and I have never had a use for it. I guess someday but who knows. They say if you have a spare part you will never need it Call me a packrat
  25. the above poster is right it sounds like you are losing connection with the battery. Take the terminals off the battery clean with a wire brush and put them back on. You will hear the clicking sound when the terminals are not quite tight and yours are most likely corroded and loose. That would be the place to start and its free. Good luck
