I hope with one reply most questions can be answered. The first question is what day is the rendezvous on and the answer is we don't know yet. I am hoping; that it will be on Friday evening but that is yet to be determined as we try to work around other meeting and events going on. Hopefully that will be determined by George in the near future. The second question is when is it too late to commit to going to the National. The official date is June 17,2011 if you wish to have your car judged. I don't know of a date for just attending the national, but bear in mind that the people putting on the National need to have as much time as possible to make it a successful event. An event like a national meet requires a lot of planning and most of the planning needs to be done as far in advance as possible. I would think that everybody's travel plans should be final by the middle of June 2011. Chuck

I see where the Buick Driving enthusiasts club are still advertising that they have some of the Christmas ornaments left. They will be an item in the future that somebody will want to collect and the price will go up. If you collect Reatta stuff I would get one now. Information is in the latest Bugle for $11.00 Just an FYI. It is pretty neat. Sorry I forgot to add it is the 90 convertible

Marck from what I have been able to find out the mirrors were not a shiny black when new. I think they were more of a satin finish

Steve as a member of the BCA you will be getting the roster and it has a lot of good information in it. As far as judging, the form is on the outer wrap of the Bugle monthly and you have to register and sign up. Thanks Chuck Kerls

As of right now the Reatta Division has not made any plans to go any where. We are looking for a place to Rendezvous to but we are still looking Chuck Kerls

As I am sure every one knows the Buick Nationals will be held in Danvers Mass. next July 5-9, 2011 The host hotel will be the Crowne Plaza Boston North Shore at 50 Ferncroft Rd, Danvers, Mass 01923 Phone number is 1-888-233-9527 Make sure you ask for the Buick Club of America Room rate. The rate is for a week before and a week after the meet. THE REATTA DIVISION WILL USE THIS HOTEL AS OUR HOST HOTEL ALSO. If you are planning to make the trip to Danvers, I would suggest that you begin to make plans now, it is sure to be a popular meet in a great location. The Reatta Division directors are looking for a member that lives close to the meet that we might be able to pick your brain for locations to do our Rendezvous at the meet. If anyone has any Ideas please contact George Madsen or My self so we can begin to make plans for the Rendezvous. Another year in the book, It is cold here in Wichita but no snow. We really feel lucky for that. It is time for my mid winter nap, so somebody wake me at the end or March. THINK SPRING. Daylight savings time starts March 13,2011. Happy New Year Everybody Chuck

As we all stop to celebrate Christmas this year it is important that we think about those neighbors and friends that are less fortunate than we are. Our extended Reatta family always seem to have plenty and we are a very fortunate group. We share our time and thoughts on this forum and in the process we are a close knit group. We don't always see eye to eye but we are close never the less. It is clear that everyone here on the forum have only one goal and that is to make our hobby of collecting and driving Reattas more rewarding than most hobbies. We have members from all over the world and it is fun. Some of us like the Reatta Club, and some of us don't, but the bottom line is we all like our cars or we wouldn't be here. We are by far the busiest forum that the AACA has. I think I speak for the entire board of directors of the Reatta Division of the BCA and consider everyone here a friend and part of our family. I want to take the time to wish each and everyone of you a very Merry Christmas and pray for a peaceful new year Chuck Kerls

My 90 also has the headlights suggested come on way to soon and it is a distraction. I always drive with my fogs on in all weather day or night. I do that on all of my cars, its not that I need or want the light to drive but I think that other drivers see me. Kansas has a law now that if you have to run your wipers and you don't have your lights on then you can get a ticket. Seems like a good law to me, If it saves one accident it is worth it.

How close is this to where the BCA National is being held in NC in 2012. Reatta Rendezvous? Just has to be within 30 Miles of the National site

I have been notified that a large Reatta Lighted dealer sign is for sale in NC. I got phone call from the owner and he does not have a computer. I have some photos and it appears to be in great shape. He is asking around $700.00 but would entertain an offer. If you have an interest in the sign contact me for his phone number. agree on the 2 articles, good to see human interest stories, the article on the black out Buick was also interesting, due to not many folks even think about the war years anymore, not a good time in the country and also the list of new members, over 100 new. Club must be growing again, good news indeed Chuck

Thinking back to last spring when a lot of people were predicting the demise of the BCA as we know due to the fact that there was only a short list of new members, take a look at the Bugle for the month of November 2010. Over 100 new members with New York and California leading the way. It is good to see the start of a comeback There are several new members that are owners of Reattas and even a handful of people who dont even list a car that they own. Things are looking up Chuck

I sent a msg to the owner asking if the car was still available and got a reply that the car is still available, sounds like a deal for parts for a convertilble if some one is close
