  1. People who don't post prices are probably lonely. I don't have time for conversations with bottom feeders.
  2. Mud, I will disagree and say it IS amazing. You would be finished with the restoration if you had not taken the time to set up the video camera, position everything just right, do a few dry runs, edit and convert for YouTube, up load to YouTube...over and over again. Thank you. And all that will live on unlike printed publications that are read once, are not searchable and are usually not available to the world. Thank you! Willie
  3. Also be advised that other than decoration or an attempt to make the car symmetrical, the RH mirror is totally useless as a functional component.
  4. You are probably right. The ones I have are 1954 which are 99% current for 55's. I also have a 55 manual for the model 63, 4 door hardtop that was new for 55... and even that one is not current for the late 55 which used a revised rear window mechanism. Send me a PM it you need a copy for your 66C. Willie

  6. Eric You should not need a bypass and check valve with that Airtex pump, but leave it there so that when (not if) it fails a better replacement pump that will not let fuel draw through can be easily swapped. Also get rid of that inadequate filter (which is probably clogged) and replace with a clear plastic one that you can monitor. Is your car still 6v? Willie
  7. Higher than a ring and pinion? Go back to the Summit site and get the part number and search for other suppliers. Shipping to an address in the USA would be free and for that reason they don't give a shipping weight. If you find the shipping weight calculate USPS costs and I will try to help you again. Willie
  8. For the initiated like me , where does it attach? Does a new one come with a new regulator? Can it cause repeated problems?
  9. Be sure the regulator is grounded to generator. On our 55's there is a wire (yellow) that goes from the generator body to to the case of the regulator. Those rubber grommets at the regulator mount points isolate it and without that wire attached ==> no worky
  10. Summit Racing has SealedPower cast pistons: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/slp-w69p40
  11. Try http://www.restorationspecialties.com/Catalog-PDF.html If the studs on the medallions are round they might have it...if flattened like the ones on the B_U_I_C_K on the hood, then you need to reuse the old ones or find some used ones. Willie
  12. You will see how it is adjusted when you replace it . Contact me by PM if you need a body manual for that car. Willie
  13. #1 the trunk bumpers on my original had no paint on the rubber or metal which was plated (zinc or cad). Of course paint does not stick to those part very well after all these years. If the black rubber shows after assembly, then re-mold it in body color #2 bottom center.
  14. Looks great, Mud How hard is that after curing? Years ago I tried some of the available products, but they were too soft and the metal core just went through the rubber and chipped the paint when slammed. It needs to have hardness similar to other bumpers on doors and hood. I finally gave up and just used split vacuum tubing over the metal core...functional but not pretty. Willie
  15. Ken, in addition to your search for Buick NOS look for NORS from back when those engines were contemporary and from name brands like TRW, SealedPower, etc. Those old boys over at V8Buick hate Egge, but after 80,000 miles a set in a 322 has shown no problems...they are just a lower compression 'compromise' and had a wide variation in weight Willie
  16. and a circuit breaker. Both the service manual and body manual show a harness assembly for the power windows and seat, but there are no details. You can hook it up directly to 12v+, but it really should be switched by the ignition, in which case you will need a relay like this (but not at this price ) http://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-GM-PONTIAC-OLDS-BUICK-CHEVY-54-55-56-57-59-60-61-DELCO-RELAY-WINDOW-AC-/271159108399?pt=Vintage_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f2257a32f&vxp=mtr and at least a 40 amp circuit breaker. Both are located behind the drivers side kick panel. Willie cheaper: http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/290545873277?lpid=82&chn=ps
  17. Discounted price? Here, always There were some other posts that I saw earlier and are now gone. Any explanation from the moderators? ANY exposure will help it sell. Willie

  19. At least it does not have that boring vertical grill that Buick is so hung up on. A sporty car in gray (same color as the pavement)?!!
  20. http://forums.aaca.org/f240/28th-annual-buicks-bluebonnets-tour-april-384564.html "Meets and Tours" is where you will find it, but it seems to be a wasteland over there with very few views.
