  1. I love the painted radiator and headlights and wheel covers and black walls.
  2. all things (condition) being equal, do you think that a real 32 v16 roaster is valued more than a real 30/31 v16 roadster? If so, is that mainly due to production numbers (scarcity)?
  3. It will be interesting to see what its big brother does in AZ. https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/az21/arizona/lots/r0032-1932-cadillac-v-16-convertible-coupe-by-fisher/1016103 This is obviously in a different league. Both are great and rare cars. love the rear mounted spare and don’t care that it is green.
  4. $64k with the commission seems like a fair deal considering this sold in March fo $84k. https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/am20/amelia-island/lots/r0042-1931-cadillac-v-8-convertible-coupe-by-fleetwood/841086 The market is the market.
  5. https://hymanltd.com/vehicles/6786-1919-cadillac-type-57-brewster-cape-top-phaeton/ Brewster bodied cars seem to have increased exponentially in value over the last few months. https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/af20/auburn-fall/lots/l0107-1919-cadillac-type-57-phaeton-by-brewster/887424
  6. https://patents.google.com/patent/US1821945A/en?oq=1821945 is this it?
  7. Do you know what happened to the Robbins V16 or the 1941 Cadillac 62 convertible sedan? the Gernatt family has always had pretty quality cars: https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/af20/auburn-fall/lots/r0005-1947-cadillac-series-62-convertible/841132 the market is the market. I guess it all depends on how long you want to own something.
  8. Not the mudd coupe. That has a fabric body similar to a Waymann Monte Carlo Stutz. the mudd coupe was sold in 2000 by RM at the meadow brook auction for around $1.3 million. https://www.coachbuild.com/2/index.php/encyclopedia/coachbuilders-models/item/bohman-schwarz-duesenberg-j-airflow-mudd-coupe-j212-2234
  9. I did notice the suspension issue. Wonder if they put series 75 springs in it? I always believe it is best to sell it at 90 percent of the market quickly and avoid dealer, auction, etc fees.
  10. The Dick Bury 41 series 62 coupe sold for $42,900. Must have been very nice. https://www.mecum.com/lots/FS1020-440762/1941-cadillac-series-62-coupe-deluxe/
  11. In my opinion, the best! (And likely getting even better soon).
  12. FYI , while I believe that Irving S Gilmore did have a car collection, it was Donald Gilmore,a brother , that started the Gilmore Car Museum.
  13. My favorite car ever. Was there in 1987 as it was unveiled in those colors at the first CCCA experience. I was 11. Made a huge impression on me.
  14. you should simply reply with your flow chart directing him to a late model vette, mustang, etc.
  15. That is the 734 in the ccca museum on the Gilmore campus. Behind it is the ramp to the “c” barn

  17. 1938-75 convertible sedan is on my short-list. I found an article that says that the 41-62 coupe was restored in 2014. with no reservation and at Mecum, it might be a very good deal.
  18. Your first post said coupe or convertible. https://www.mecum.com/lots/FS1020-440762/1941-cadillac-series-62-coupe-deluxe/ Some additional photos: https://www.sunsetclassics.com/1941-cadillac-series-62-deluxe-coupe/ no reserve, so it will be interesting to see what it goes for.
  19. Totally agree. If the headlights are not flat, the ancillary lights should not be flat. It is amazing how many cars of the mid to late 1930s have Senior Trippes. Looks so out of place, to me. But I love the silver arrow
