I will 99% be there as well. Mostly to sit with George and hear his great stories and pick his brain for Studebaker knowledge. I have some 34/35 stuff I can bring if there is anything you are looking for.. Derek Phillips

Standard or high compression head?
Albtrossca replied to commander Dave's topic in Studebaker, Erskine & Rockne
If I understand the way Studebaker made the high compression heads, they were all Aluminum. -

Albtrossca replied to John DePrey's topic in Studebaker, Erskine & Rockne
I have a Studebaker service bulletin for assembling and installing the roof on my 34. I'm north sure if it includes earlier years or not. -
Manuals Needed For New Purchase
Albtrossca replied to ibrake4oldcars's topic in Studebaker, Erskine & Rockne
John, they are the same manuals as my 34. Let me have a look because I do have duplicates of some. I'll get back to you. -
Send me a picture and or part number of what you are after and the next time I visit with Andy Hook in a month or so I will ask if he has one. Likely will. I did ask him about the rear tire mount but he didn't have any.

Looks great! I still think the Squirrel Car has a step up on you for originality put that's my personal opinion! -
Let me check my parts. I have a few axles and want to make sure I've got the right one for you.

I was told that the hollow backed ones are for Dictators and the solid backed are Commander and President. Not sure how true this is. All my 34 dictator ones are hollow. -
Prewar & Postwar Studebaker Parts for Sale
Albtrossca replied to r1lark's topic in Studebaker, Erskine & Rockne
I second your opinion Dave. Great to deal with. Reasonable prices. Made me a happy man finding the parts I did. 😁 -
Would it not be in the same spot as the Stude? Drivers side frame rail seen inside the front fender.

What is this Studebaker part?
Albtrossca replied to George Rohrbach's topic in Studebaker, Erskine & Rockne
I was curious if it was a spare tire decorative cap? -

I used a modern rubber lip seal on mine. Can't recall the PN atthe moment but I have it recorded and will post when I do. I have found that all the seals that I've replace with modern ones have had the closest matches using metric seals.

That's George. I may have to take you up on this. I now know that my filler neck was cut off. I'll let you know shortly if you need to bring it. Do you have the cap for it too? I'll see you in Hershey regardless. No Hannah this time though. 😔 -

Help identifying a fuel gauge.
Albtrossca replied to Albtrossca's topic in Studebaker, Erskine & Rockne
Good call Robert. I looked through a thousand pictures trying to identify it. Now I know. Now that I know what its from, if there is anyone interested message me. We can talk price and delivery. I'll be in Dunkirk this weekend and Hershey in October. Thanks again Robert! -
A friend has asked me to find a good home for this fuel gauge. He was told it was for a 37 Coupe Express but it doesn't look anything like the 37s I've seen. The closest I've been able to match it with is some 32 model year Studes but all of them had a black background. Any opinions from the wise individuals here? Derek
