So I disassembled all the wood frame to replace all the wood screws with the original painted hardware it is much to cheek fit with Phillips screws with a power driver but the stander head ones have to be put in by hand to push hard .at least at the end when it gets real hard. wile I was doing this the door openings changed shape just by 1/4 at the top so now I am backing up and moving some stuff at least I cough it before I nailed the body on but that is what part I am up too . My lift on the right side of my shop now has my other sons rock crawler on it so all car projects had to be packed up and moved but it is a lot funner to have my kids work on there rock crawlers wile I slowly put my 1925 master roadster together --one inch at a time --kyle
  2. That is why I just bought this new truck 1939 is new to me my last Ford truck I built was 6 years of free time ! I don't want to do over .I am looking forword to using this truck to pull my 1925 Buick to car shows I would like to drive it to some as well but the show in Colorado is a long drive for a car that is so hard to find parts for .On the other hand I can find a few spare parts for this truck and its V8 . It is a real clean 1939 rig .
  3. A SUPPER SIMPLE WAY TO LOOK AT A MISS IS HOLD A PIECE OF PAPER UP TO TAIL PIPE CLOSE AND SEE IF IT SUCKS IT UP TO THE END TIGHT. A INTAKE OVER LAP CAN BE SEEN REAL EASY THIS WAY . ---STICKY VALVES -- KEEP DRIVING IT FOR A WILE . KYLE

I found copper crush gaskets in a ''Auto zone' store had packages of 9 per pack copper crush seals 3 fit the gas lines on my 1925 tank 'in that pack I bout 2 packs at a price of 8.00 hanged on a rod on the floor . I was glad I found them .I had been looking for a wile . 11/16 inside dia. and 7/8 out side .060 thick but thicker would work also . ------------------- Do not cheek tank fittings with air pressure by putting air in tank------------------------- it will not hold up to air pressurize AT ALL

I decided to start working on and buying the parts to fix my old cars After my Dad retired when he turned 66 And did not see his first cheek .I spent 2 weeks not working first time in my whole life I stopped working . I looked at all he had done worked 7 days a week building a construction company . building houses all his life never took enough time off to play . So I decided to play with all my antiques pin ball machines, Old Buick's , my old hot rod's that I have been ignoring . I am GLAD TO SEE YOU " BROKE A PROMISE " GOOD JOB !!!!! -kyle

  15. Well it would take a couple of hr. to make from scratch but it would be worth it . make one of aluminum and use it as a pattern 10 % bigger would some one that has one trace it to give it a size and post it like this and draw a 1''x1" square next to it so it can be scaled from pic. ?? -kyle

  19. thank you so much for seeing that . I have it now looks like it will fit good .luckily IN my parts boxes a new set of window rubber and seal set was with the car also. the date on the tag in the box 1981 when the last owner bought the set of rubber for the wind shield --kyle
