  1. That is a 1980 Buick Century. 3.6 litre 231 V6. Three speed manual Trans. Make no mistake that car is exactly where it should be. Owned by Nicola Bulgari and it is from his "NB Center for American Automotive Heritage". Wonderful Museum and owner. A must go to place if you appreciate American Automotive history. I forgot and put in my application too late for the Buick class.
  2. Driving a Model T is on my bucket list. Need to find the time to do so. I know a museum that will remain nameless that offers that opportunity. 😎
  3. Thanks for the tour, Ed. A very special collection from what you have shown. Walt G. As a 24 year old when I was first invited to be a Madison Avenue Sports Car Driving and Chowder Society Not only Vice President back in the day, I cherished my time spent with "Austie" I am this year a 40 year Chowder member. He and his cars were amazing and his knowledge and memory was everything I read about in my vintage automobile books and more, but in person. He was a truly exceptional inimitable man. He is sorely missed. At the Chowder Christmas party this year I had the honor to gave a little speech from the podium to celebrate my 40 years and to toast him and of course Luigi, Vincent Sardi, and named/included many of the many other great people for the newbies and more that were members over these past 40 years who are no longer with us. Excuse me, Ed as I rambled a little off topic just now. Back to the the original post after a few CC's of course.
  4. Wow some great and beautiful cars in this thread. Thanks for showing them. This is my mostly all original, Mostly all (90+%) original SCO Paint, Zone Office ordered 1973 Stage1 Sun Coupe. 74,000 miles. All original interior, Engine compartment has been cleaned up. 2022 AACA Senior Grand National. Numbers and info in my signature below. The car has far exceeeded my expectations on the show field with AACA and a few Concours. I drive the car all the time on tours/cruises, etc.
  5. Thanks everyone. I have learned a lot. The photos and cars are beautiful. A real history lesson for a car nut like me who has more knowledge of post war vehicles. I like all cars and driving any of these I am sure would put a smile on my face, but then again all cars I can drive or race do. Already looking forward to the next thread with 2 door cars. Even got to see Ed say a yiddish word. A gezunt of dien pipick, Mr. Ed.
  6. Got mine today in Westchester County NY. Looking forward to reading #5. When it rains it pours. I also got my Mercedes Star magazine and a few books in the mail today.
  7. When I showed up in my Buick all the girls that didn't like the Brooklyn Disco era pretenders in their Trans Am's were all over it. Rock and Roll is here to stay. The big back seat worked well also. 😇
  8. You really should make the effort to go. It is worth it. The dates are now tradition. You will not be disappointed. Bob Ashton the managing partner just keeps making the show better and better. Truly amazing.
  9. Was just invited and accepted for the 2023 Class of 73 Invitational for the 50th anniversary’ celebration. Going full circle with the SCO yellow Gran Sport. My first ever MCACN was in 2013 with this car for the Class of 73 Invitational for the 40th anniversary. I won’t be having it judged again this time. It received concours gold with 986 points in 2016 at the sunroof invitational. Not bad for a mostly original car. It will be eligible though for pick and special awards like the Sloan Museum Pick Award it won in 2013. Can’t wait. Truly the best indoor Muscle car event in the world. Hope to see some AACA members there. Photo is from the 2013 event.
  10. Wishing you a fast, painless full recovery. You’re in our thoughts and prayers.
  11. Cars are asked to be shown same as at all Concours with Hood down. The variety and Quality of cars is amazing. Many many very special cars, etc. Here is a photo with me and Bobby Unser in 2016 Showing his Pikes Peak winning Ford Torino and a few other famous cars. I have posted a few albums on the AACA FaceBook page a few times with hundreds of photos. To each his own.
  12. I coud not make it this year. I have been numerous times. This event is Known as "The Pebble Beach of Muscle Car Events". It is truly a must see event if you are into Muscle Cars. It gets better every year and that is hard to do. I had my cars there 4 times with a car being judged. (3 different cars) In 2017 My 1973 Harvest Gold Buick Century Gran Sport Stage1 Four speed won Concours Gold with 1000 out of 1000 points and also won the "Best Buick Judges Choice" Platinum Award. Had my mostly original SCO yellow 1973 Buick Gran Sport there 2 times. Once in 2013 for the "Class of 1973 Invitational where it also won a Concours Gold Award and a Pick Award from the Sloan Museum and Then in 2016 it was invited again for the "Sun Roof Invitational. Where it won another a Concours Gold Award with 986 Points out of 1000. Both of these cars are AACA Senior Grand National Cars. If you look up 1973 Buick Gran Sport on Google you will find videos of the cars. My Yellow one was the first "My Car Story" with Lou Costabile filmed at the event in 2013 (Funny Story), and then again for a longer version in 2016. Both photos are from the Greenbrier Concours. Gold car in 2020, Yellow car this year 2022.
  13. Have him or you PM me and I will try to give him an honest opinion after hearing what it has in options and condition, and also can give him the name of a friend, who sold the best original 1973 SS 454 Four Speed a few years ago. It was shown at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals with one of my 1973 Gran Sports in 2019.
  14. Thank you! These were taken at the Mt Greylock visitor center and the valley is on the Mohawk Trail hairpin turn in Mass. Photos were taken last Saturday. Here is a photo of the restaurant on the hairpin turn.
  15. You guys missed my 1973 Buick Century Gran Sport Stage1 Four Speed. Car won another Repeat Preservation Award. Has been nominated for a National Award 3X in 2018, 2019 and 2021. Was nice to see and talk to BCA Pres. Syd and Belva Meyer there again.
  16. Just want to say a big Thank you to, West Petterson for taking the time towards the end of the show day to take the time to shoot photos of my car. (Around 2.15 PM) The first two photos in this post I took by the vegetation on Herksher Road are just some shots I took while watching, West do his magic. Hope the photos he took get used in the near future. I can't wait to see them. Thanks again, West! What a great day with unbelievable wonderful weather. Hershey never dissapoints no matter the weather. This was the 2nd time out for the car this year, following the weekend before showing at the Audrain Motor Week Concours/Tour. I wouldn't have missed Hershey and seeing all the friends I have made over the years no matter how much scrambling that was required to get the car there. Thank you also to all from the Hershey Region and the National folks for getting the event done year after year.
  17. CCla Originally actress Clara Bow's car. Given to her by Louis Mayer of MGM as a Birthday present. It was at the MIsselwood Concours last month and also did the Concours Tour Saturday. Beautiful car.
